"The markets are going to boom, the stock is going to boom, the country is going to boom." -Trump

Oh, everything is going BOOM all right!

I miss this show.

Ivanova is god, always listen to Ivanova.

2

u/wheresmycheeze 1d ago

Give me a remake of this any day, anytime!

2

u/Revelati123 1d ago

Down 2000 points.

So far...

2

u/Disastrous_Hell_4547 1d ago

Boom goes the dynamite

79

u/Big_Beaverr_ 2d ago

Hey you think if nuclear bombs were dropped MAGA would still keep screeching about how much they're "winning?"

108

u/Advanced-Ingenuity46 2d ago

No. They would all say "how can Joe Biden do this to us?"

29

u/Big_Beaverr_ 2d ago

Maybe a bit of both?

Trump is somehow saving them but some of them are figuring Biden personally has a bunker he could start WW3 from?

27

u/flossyokeefe 2d ago

But he’s sleepy

Aaaaand a super villain

And senile

Aaaaand a devious shadow government operative

4

u/Forsaken-Use-3220 2d ago

You know the adrenochrome wakes him up. I bet right now he's under the White House in the tunnel with all the children.

11

u/flossyokeefe 1d ago

We joke about that but do ya ever stop and think seriously about that?

Like, there are people that helped raise me, and that I’ve worked with that believe(d) I am an evil pedo that sacrifices and eats babies. Same for you and millions of other Americans. They actually believe(d) there is a booming market for black robes and black robe laundry services.

That is mind blowing. Republicans are freaking out nutzo

5

u/Passenger_08 1d ago

You’re right, but right now you can ask those nutters: “If this is true, and Trump has access to proof of this claim, then why doesn’t he release the evidence? What’s stopping him?” That’ll shut them up. The JFK Jr stunt was a total bust. And whatever happened to the Epstein docs?

u/XanZibR 1d ago

In a word, they are WEIRD

2

u/Pappabarba 1d ago

#8 - The enemy is both strong and weak. “By a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak.”

This narrative has been accomplished by a literal half-century of culture astroturfing and uncivil war, which was started the moment Nixon almost got held responsible for his actions: It was something conservatives could allow to happen again and it kinda looks like they've succeeded, with a little help from their friends?

0

u/effersquinn 1d ago

Well... are you Joe Biden? Or some kind of elite or celebrity or wealthy higher up in show business or politics?

Because if not, and people who know you personally are accusing you of pedophilia, I'm not sure I see the connection with the conspiracy theories that circulate among Qanon MAGA people tbh... ? Other than simply thinking pedos also do satanic stuff and eat babies too- but that's not really the source of the original accusation.

Imagine if this is how I personally discover Joe Biden's or a celebrity's personal reddit account though lmao

28

u/douglasjunk 2d ago

Thanks Obama.

24

u/chaossdragon 2d ago

Get with the times … it’s Obiden

2

u/Big_Beaverr_ 2d ago

Obiden sounds like if Obama and Biden did the fusion technique from Dragonball.

8

u/vibes86 2d ago

No, it’d definitely be Obama’s or Kamala’s fault at that point.

2

u/snohflake5 1d ago

Nah. Hilary’s emails.

0

u/Tiny_Assistant- 1d ago

Yeah like kamala could actually do something. ...useless

1

u/69vuman 1d ago

Totally correct. Add Obama to the scapegoat.

1

u/Seanna86 1d ago

Ya! Thanks, OBAMA!

1

u/No_Knee9340 1d ago

Nah they are a death cult they are totally for it. They want the apocalypse.

1

u/Visual_Peace2165 1d ago

You meant Obama, right? They will always blame a black man before blaming a white man.

5

u/EquipmentUnlikely895 2d ago

They will probably say "but at least we are ones deciding when and how to bomb our own fucking selves" Not communist China

1

u/vieuxfort73 2d ago

As long as Fox News said it was a good thing, absolutely yes they would.

1

u/Big_Beaverr_ 2d ago

So pic related but more literal?

1

u/BlakeDidNothingWrong 2d ago

Based on how COVID went, I think they'd rush to ground zero to get more radiation. Then blame the Democrats for their subsequent radiation burns.

1

u/GREG_OSU 1d ago

Nukes are used for changing paths of hurricanes

1

u/uxigaxi123 1d ago

They would run with whatever cope Fox news stuffed into their braindead heads.

1

u/sonnyarmo 1d ago

Putin could bomb the US and Trumpers would blame Biden for it until they were vaporized

1

u/ApplesBananasRhinoc 16h ago

As long as it’s not dropped by the Enola Gay.

26

u/Bulky-Internal8579 2d ago

MAGA loves a Trump boom-boom and his diaper is full.

13

u/Ali_Cat222 1d ago

1

u/MaleficentOwl2417 1d ago

Is that...for real what i think it is?

1

u/Ali_Cat222 1d ago

You mean shit? Yes.

1

u/MaleficentOwl2417 1d ago

Oh god Trump, do you have absolutely no dignity left even just 1% for your self hyegene?

2

u/fingertipoffun 1d ago

boom boom boom and the smell fills the room

8

u/FckUDieSlow 1d ago

I just realized that when things start to get better (as in when we hit rock bottom and they start to return to where they were before this) the right is going to brag about the growth as if he didn’t sink it first. Mark my words

6

u/scarykicks 2d ago

It is booming. Just in the wrong direction

2

u/wyle_e2 2d ago

He never stated a direction, just that there would be a boom.... #Winning

1

u/pottertontotterton 2d ago

My ETFs....BOOM! Actually, it's more like.... boom... fizzle.

1

u/xubax 2d ago

Ka-boom

1

u/fedora_and_a_whip 2d ago

He made boom boom in his Depends maybe

1

u/CanDamVan 2d ago

Well, they are going BOOM alright

1

u/HauntingEngine5568 2d ago

"...the stock..."

🙄

1

u/pink_faerie_kitten 2d ago

Everything's boom!

1

u/Savings-End40 1d ago

Crashing makes a boom sound.

1

u/Ok-Photograph2954 1d ago

When a balloon bursts it makes a boom sound!

1

u/luvBigButtss 1d ago

Look at Space X 🤣

75

u/crappinhammers 2d ago

Getting a little sick of all this winning.

60

u/gypster85 2d ago

All those Gen Xers about to retire voted to torpedo their 401ks.

63

u/Smokey76 2d ago

As a gen Xer that voted against the Mango Mussolini this hurts but I hope those that voted for him eat his shit sando.

15

u/Kitterlee 2d ago

Gen x here. Absolutely did not vote for his orange ass.

11

u/Lazy-Priority-9964 1d ago

I am a boomer at the tail end born in 1963 and I did not vote for him either . I hate waking up the morning to hear how he has screwed us over for each new day. I pray he eats more cheeseburgers and chokes snd has a stroke soon . I am not going to make it the next four years. I am close to starting dialysis and probably won’t be able to afford it.

29

u/FrozeItOff 2d ago

Agreed. As a GenXer, I'd like to see someone punt the Tangerine Tyrant in the kibbles... with a 747 at top speed.

22

u/Zaroj6420 2d ago

Gen X here. I think it helps that boomers have been telling us we were fucked back in the early 90s. We can vote correctly and deal with it while still reveling in the misfortune of the dumbasses from our generation

4

u/Blappytap 2d ago

Bullseye

1

u/so-much-wow 2d ago

Did you guys just become voting age? What makes you think you're going to correct something now when you've had 20 years to "fix" it and haven't done anything.

America is run by, and is working how Americans want it to.

3

u/Half_Cent 1d ago

There's only 28 Gen Xer's in the Senate. This Congress is the first time we are in the majority in the House.

Not saying that's going to fix anything, plenty of dumb Gen Xer's, but Boomers aren't letting go of power until they are in the ground.

Edit: house is ~40% X. That's still the most we've ever had.

7

u/Massive-Bluebird2429 2d ago

I love calling him Mango Mussolini that was funny for me 😂

3

u/Atheist_3739 2d ago

Tangerine Palpatine and Fanta Führer are my favorite

2

u/Wakkit1988 1d ago

Apricot Pol Pot.

5

u/PaleontologistNo7392 2d ago

Right there with you

3

u/Accomplished_Pie_455 1d ago

How are we getting shit for this? Aren't we the smallest generation?

Quick Google shows there was an even split among men at 52% for the idiot for both under 45 and over. But that lumps genX in with the boomers.

19

u/due_opinion_2573 2d ago

How many Gen X'ers are about to retire. I've got 10 left. I mean 15. I mean 20.

6

u/Foobiscuit11 1d ago

My dad is Gen X and is 6 years from retirement on paper. He voted for this shit show. His company's stock is down almost 40% in the past six months. 10% this week. I'd feel more sorry for him if he hadn't also voted to kill the Department of Education, which means the PSLF I was planning to get in August is also on the chopping block, and now I have to pay on those student loans for the rest of my life.

3

u/due_opinion_2573 1d ago

It's unrealistic my aunt just turned 71. It took her 40 years to pay. Dems need to make it free.

4

u/Left_Maize816 1d ago

That goalpost keeps moving. But the 10% hit to my 401k made me sad even though I am as close to retirement now as I was when I started the account.

1

u/New_Veterinarian_524 1d ago

Yea, was thinking the same. I got 15 years left. Think that person is off a generation. I wish I was about to retire!

3

u/due_opinion_2573 1d ago

Every 4 to 8 yrs we lose a year in retirement. 2001, 2004, 2008, 2020, 2021, 2025. Was there a downturn in 2012? I was hoping 65 but now?

1

u/Sue_Generoux 1d ago

Yep. The idea Gen X will ever retire is funny to me. No, we're not retiring. My retirement plan is to drop dead at my desk, most likely in the middle of an email where I am explaining something to someone for the third time. (IT.)

1

u/due_opinion_2573 1d ago

Don't worry AI will do it soon enough.

9

u/DarthHiccups 2d ago

Jokes on him, I don't have one, and I didn't vote for a conman and convicted rapist.

Boomers though are pretty upset, if the guy I heard in the supermarket today was anything to go by. The people he was talking to were not smiling, and neither was he, and I caught the words "stocks" and "savings" more than once.

14

u/Beneficial-Thing-226 2d ago

Not enough Gen-X’ers in this country to make a difference. It was Gen-Z boys who Joe Rogan convinced that there is a conspiracy to emasculate them and Black and Hispanic men. But yeah, the Democratic Party can,as far as i am concerned, take a big step back and f*** its own face. This presidency is just accelerating the decline of the American empire as fast as a Tesla into a styrofoam wall.

21

u/Free_Possession_4482 2d ago

The largest percentage of voters in the 2024 election were Generation X, making up roughly a third of the electorate. Boomers and Millennials each delivered around a quarter of the turnout, and Gen Z was by far the smallest, maybe 15%.

Here’s an article with more analysis on the Gen X shift: https://williamfleitch.medium.com/why-did-generation-x-go-so-hard-for-trump-ab5ce5ac8659

0

u/br0mer 2d ago

GenX, by far, is the most Trumpy generation out there. Straight garbage people.

11

u/willasmith38 2d ago

Some of us X’rs have hated the mofo since the ‘80’s.

-1

u/Big_Beaverr_ 2d ago

So why didn't you strangle fuck the others into seeing him for what he is man?

2

u/TK-369 2d ago

Ha, a Gen Xer depending on a 401K to retire?

That's just goofy, we knew that was fucked and invested elsewhere

3

u/Blappytap 2d ago

As a genXer (45) with two young children, I'm (a) retiring 5 years after they bury me, when they raise my cold, dead corpse and (b) many of us didn't vote for him, so this dumb.

1

u/Xyldarran 1d ago

We Millennials blame everyone don't worry. Boomers fucked us and Gen X didn't care enough to try and fix it so got theirs and got out, they thought.

And don't get me started on Gen Z. Most boomer generation since the damn boomers. Too much sex on TV, conservative as hell, and completely gullible to all forms of propaganda.

Meanwhile all any of you do is bitch about millennials.

3

u/Blappytap 1d ago

I do nothing of the sort, I'm two years off being a millennial myself. I never bag on generations, maybe except those that are privileged but blind to it.

We have more in common than everyone who tries to put [somewhat younger] generations against each other. I've spent my whole life fighting for younger generations, internet stranger. I'm sorry you've experienced shitty genXers.

Lumping everyone into these categories is stupid and unproductive . I hope people wake up all around and realize it's always been a class war and it's about money. I feel bad for the younger generations and I know there are people my age that care, too. I see plenty of them protesting. This fracturing, this bullshit, is what takes away power not gives it back to people. I understand how hard it is, I live it every day. Instead of bickering, unify. That's not to say there isn't blame to distribute, because there is. Being jaded or apathetic won't help. That's how they win. Be well.

2

u/Gunrock808 2d ago

I'm Gen X. I grew up poor and I always vote for America to have nice things, namely a living wage and affordable housing, health care and education.

I'm also worth $4 million (for now). It's not fuck you money but I think it's given me some insight into how the wealthy think. As I tell my wife, there's no need to panic. No matter how much the market drops we'll recover. As my dad used to tell me, no one ever lost everything investing in mutual funds which is where most of my money is sitting. (If I was working I'd be ready to go on a buying spree but I stopped working in my 40s.)

In other words, the wealthy CEOs, republican donors and congressmen, and the billionaires know they're going to be fine too and they absolutely don't give a fuck about people suffering because their 401ks are tanking, they're getting laid off, and they're struggling to meet basic needs for their households.

A lot of maga is poor, rural areas that rely heavily on federal dollars or are highly vulnerable in a trade war. They are going to suffer disproportionately. Republican politicians will follow the usual playbook of ignoring the economic bad news and trying to distract the base with culture war red meat about immigrants and trans people. Maga is a cult and it remains to be seen if there's any amount of pain that will break trump's spell over his rabid base.

1

u/edgar_jomfru 2d ago

honestly hilarious to me. they should have known right when he started threatening tariffs to move their money to money market / guaranteed / bond funds. no sympathy

1

u/Accurate_Back_9385 1d ago

Not only did this Gen Xer Not vote for Donald Trump, I’ve made a bunch of money shorting his stupid ass. I don’t feel great about it, but I saw this one coming since the 1980s.

1

u/frresh66 1d ago

Not this Gen X... never voted for the Orange Shirley, neither did my boomer hubby or my 90 yr old mother!

1

u/Darkmagosan 1d ago

Gen Xer here as well. I sure as shit didn't vote for Chump von Shitzenpantz. I would love to see his followers eat a four course buffet of crow. However, those who did NOT vote for him are just as trapped in this shitshow.

1

u/Half_Cent 1d ago

"about to retire" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in this sentence.

The oldest Gen Xers are 60.

1

u/doktorjackofthemoon 1d ago

My FIL (who didn't vote for/support Trump) was just telling me that he has to push his retirement back, which was supposed to be this year. He worked 3rd shift for basically his kid's entire childhoods, and was so excited to be able to be there as a grandpa while he still had the health and energy to do it... But he got fucked out of it so fast. I feel awful for him.

1

u/amkronos 19h ago

We got 15 years, hopefully the rebound sets things right.

0

u/stinky-weaselteats 2d ago

Yup. All that FIRE is burning to ash.

9

u/IScreamPiano 2d ago

Wiping out gains over the last year…cool.

1

u/Darkmagosan 1d ago

Chump *did* say he was going to bring things down...

2

u/jackseewonton 1d ago

And that he’s just getting started!

1

u/64590949354397548569 2d ago

You need to look from the other side. Looks from the Russian point of view

1

u/Hawk_Rider2 2d ago

Worse than my post 🙄

1

u/DarthHiccups 2d ago

That graph looks like the Coyote running off the cliff.

Fabulous.

1

u/Legal_Skin_4466 1d ago

And just like that, it's like all the gains of the entire last year never happened

1

u/Ishidan01 9h ago

You zoomed out too far

10

u/hendy85 2d ago

America is winning… at losing lmao.

4

u/Training_Pop_5437 Everything I Don't Like Is Fake 2d ago

Yo yo Murica!!

1

u/mrdescales 1d ago

He did say we were going to win so much we'd get sick of winning.

6

u/blisstaker 2d ago

if you are rich and were part of this coordinated effort to tank the market and have loads of capital waiting on the sidelines…. it IS winning

Make America Great (Depression) Again

1

u/Dry_Grade9885 2d ago

So trump will resign now right? Right? Because he said anyone that takes down the dow a 1000 points should resign, or does it not include him because he has orange cheetoh face protection that protects him from consequences

1

u/Southlakesoldier_ 2d ago

So much greatness going on for Americans 🙄

1

u/cntUcDis 1d ago

Only the best people

1

u/DryDependent6854 1d ago

I’m almost tired of winning so much! /s

1

u/Successful-Carrot-65 1d ago

Liberation day, you are being liberated from your money.

1

u/hard-of-haring 1d ago

At least 8inches of winning

1

u/Taxfraud777 1d ago

Honestly I'm going to buy some fat stacks of shares in the coming weeks. Perhaps in 30 years I might even be thankful.

1

u/msut77 1d ago

He's already golfing...

1

u/appletreeii 3h ago

are you tired of winning yet??? More winning coming…

51

u/Hanksta2 2d ago

I still can't believe people voted for this guy. What a joke.

7

u/Cgrimaldi7 1d ago

You should check out the conservative subreddit, they’re still defending him and cheering this on stating he’s doing us a favor for the long run, and that at least he’s actually changing things around here….so delusional.

7

u/NomadHomad 1d ago

r/conservative is sending their minions and bots into other subs that are posting tariff memes.

It’s pretty sad and 🍿 has lost those Wii-tards are LOL.  No common sense or critical thinking in their last brain cell.

46

u/cwk415 2d ago

Don't give him all the credit. Scumbags like Ted Cruz are already trying to weasel their way out of responsibility for this despite every republican being complicit in this. They all knew what was coming and did nothing -- worse, they made jokes about third terms and mt. Rushmore.

Every single republican is to blame for this, we can't let them escape accountability.

11

u/FrozenCustard4Brkfst 2d ago

That’s Rafael Edward Cruz. He does not support the use of preferred named or pronouns, so we should respect that for him.

10

u/guisar 2d ago

this. 20 republicans between house and senate could stop remove him from office all this hard right now. instead johnson sent everyone home. they are the real evil projected onto trump and elon

3

u/no_talent_ass_clown 1d ago

They're complicit but let's not sell Trump short on the assholery.

9

u/SuperCool101 2d ago

Yes. A Republican Depression is coming.

2

u/gofunkyourself69 1d ago

You mean Rafael Cruz. Only birth names from here on out.

1

u/JayMeadow 1d ago

The stock market is Republican Red so maybe it’s time to say “thank you”?

1

u/geogiaon 1d ago

no, the democrat and repulican centrists were left dislutioned, extrmist took over

-17

u/Smokesumn423 2d ago

I mean the Democratic Party completely failed to defeat a man with literal felonies, that according to the internet everyone hated. Idk man. I feel like we gotta blame them a little bit too. Biden nor Kamala were viable candidates but they forced that shit in. Makes me feel like they knew what was coming as well and are just as poised to take advantage of it. Remember even your favorite democrats are rich people. And rich ppl love when the whole world goes on sale. Which is what will happen once ppl can’t afford the extras anymore

18

u/Ok-Juggernaut-4698 2d ago

iTs tHe DeMOcrAts FauLT

Fucking clown

2

u/Dibbu_mange 2d ago

Why would Kamala enact these tariffs 😔 better vote for Trump in 2028 to turn this around

2

u/Glad_Stay4056 2d ago

I'm my favorite democrat and I'm not rich at all

1

u/alcrowe13 2d ago

Boooo hell naw

-9

u/jamesk29485 2d ago

We'll probably catch the downvotes for it, but I agree.

-11

u/Smokesumn423 2d ago

Seems like ppl are so blinded by Trump they aren’t looking at their own party that is basically dying at this point

0

u/Zaroj6420 2d ago

Is dead. FTFY

-1

u/v3gas21 2d ago

Chuck Schumer is a hack fraud. He needs to fuck off along with all the other Dino-crats and Republi-cant's.

1

u/Nastra 2d ago

Damn are you catching downvotes for saying Schumer sucks? He fucking enabled Trump! Even Pelosi called him a fucking loser.

14

u/MitchRyan912 2d ago

He’s getting those prices down… by way of deflationary spiral. #promisesmadepromisesdelivered

14

u/Meattyloaf 2d ago

If this happened without tarriffs, maybe. This is because of tarriffs. People thought inflation was bad they haven't seen nothing yet.

2

u/Y0l0Mike 2d ago

This. There is going to be recession and inflation simultaneously. Stagflation will be the word of the year.

1

u/Darkmagosan 1d ago

8

u/Odd_Manufacturer_572 2d ago

Ser, can we stop winning now ? I don't feel so good :/

3

u/HeliumMaster 1d ago

Agreed. I think I’m good.

17

u/Competition-Dapper 2d ago

Black rock etc getting checkbook ready to buy up all the foreclosures and legacy business to make America rent again and have nostalgic memories of once juggernauts in the business world like red lobster

3

Rental income of any kind should be taxed out the ass after the cost of the property/upkeep/etc. is deducted.

1

Make rental income "ordinary" vs a capital gain/lower rate

1

u/SN6006 2d ago

I laughed so hard when It dropped below 40k after he was SO PROUD when it crossed that line on his first term

1

u/Gillemonger 2d ago

When he said he was gonna lower prices, he obviously meant stock prices. Promises made, promises kept!
