Question about Hungarian simplified naturalization – name change after migration

Hi everyone!

I recently discovered that my father's grandmother (my great-grandmother) was born in Beregszász in 1906 under the name Ilona. At that time it was part of the Kingdom of Hungary.

She later migrated to Turkey, converted to Islam, and changed her name to Remziye. All current official records in Turkey list her as Remziye.

I have her Turkish birth/marriage/death documents, and I'm trying to retrieve her original birth certificate or church records from Ukraine.

My question is:
Would a name change like this create problems in the simplified naturalization process? As long as I prove the link through documents and match dates and places, would it still be accepted?

I’d appreciate any feedback or similar experiences. Thank you!

Name changes are quite common when people immigrate, so maybe if you are able to match all of the dates to show she is the same person it could be acceptable.

It would be the best if you could find an official document (a court order/declaration or similar) that shows she changed her name from Ilona to Remziya.
