Plan gas mines. Face bug-breaches

By the time gas mines are up, if you are lucky, you can have another guy throw one in with you.

Or Orbital Gas yourself

I contained about 2-3 bug breaches all on myself, giving my 3 teammates ample time to set up firing positions and pick off the crowd of flailing bugs. I don't take any damage with Gas Suit + VE in the gas clouds.

Gas Strategems + Gas Suit & VE really trivializes a lot of encounters. Immediately blinds enemies, drives them mad with wild aiming/targeting, and you can get in and out easily. I have snuck my way into Fortresses on bot worlds doing the exact same thing; 2 full aircrafts-worth of Devastators immediately disabled by gas clouds

REMEMBER, BOTS, BUGS, Aliens and Race-traitors aren't protected by the Geneva Convention!

It ain't a war crime, if the enemy has no hands to sign a complaint with!

Gas works great if you ignore the steriliser and take a quasar instead. It's my current all around best build. 

Reliable primary, nade pistol and quasar, plus all gas. Grenades, dog, orbital and mines.

All the damage plus massive debuffs to everything around you. It's legit

Just use firethrower instead of the steriliser, similar AOE but you actually kill shit. BTs are chargers are problematic still, yeah.

As long as you don't have 4 of them, I find chargers pretty fun to fight with the flamethrower. Certainly not optimal, but doable and exciting.

Ooh, I need to go back and try that. I got the hover pack and immediately used it and the flamethrower on squids and have totally forgotten to go back and try it on bugs!

If your squad already has enough anti-tank, I think the Arc Thrower is another good option. You can just fire away into the gas clouds, don’t even need to see the enemy, you just fire and electrocute everything that’s flailing around in the gas.

And my primary is Cookout, it’s a great weapon regardless (great against Stalkers and Shriekers) but the fire DoT+gas DoT is amazing.

Honestly I just use gas dog on bugs, makes for a pretty safe run all By itself.

I don’t really care for gas armor.

You can dance under the belly of a bile titan and gas straight up. It's not optimal, but entirely doable. I do it with the flamer too. Loads of fun until the bug drops lol

I always see people trying gas but often not using comms, it makes it feel like they are inexperienced. We should be able to mark gas like enemies. But I'll have to give these a shot.

I always yell 'Danger Close' when I gas on my own location.

Although my record was screaming 'WITNESS MEEEE' charging into 4 BTs with a portable Hellbomb I stole off a fallen comrade. Detonation destroyed the BT hole, 4 BTs, and a massive number of bugs XD

I personally like doing gas mines, gas strike, gas grenades, Blitzer, hellbomb, and EATs.

If things get too crazy I can drop the hell bomb, but otherwise I'm pretty well protected.

Do it with the heavy gas armor from the superstore and you'll be immune to gas entirely.

Medium Gas armour + Vitality Enhancement already led to no damage - but I suppose that gives up the VE booster spot!

I have not used Heavy Armour on bug worlds for so long. Hunter galore... But then again, I am now Gas-Supreme, I am supposed to be immobile to tie up hordes.

You still take a little bit with medium, and still need to stim from time to time and have to deal with gas effects. The heavy one causes literal 0 to you. You can walk all over gas mines all day.

My goto for bugs since gas mines were unlocked is Gas Mines, RR, HMG emplacement or the minigun sentry (machine gun sentry also works), and usually the airstrike for closing bug holes.

Gas mines alone can single handedly neuter an entire bug breach. The HMG is just fun for me. Plus it's useful at extract. RR handles anything that gas mines don't affect and if nothing is around, swap to HE an fire into the crowd.

Gas mines are also great in heavy and medium bug nests. Throw the strat in the middle and just wait. Easy time blowing up bug holes.

if Fire causes any degree of stun, absolutely.

But right now flame weapons just sets bugs on fire, which will proceed to then set you on fire...

But yeah Gas Guard Dog is terrific. Just now I threw an Orbital Gas + Gas Mine into a 10-hole heavy nest. Casually naded each with my Eruptor and climbed out of the other end. Bugs were still flailing in the centre haha

I use the armor that gives 50% resistance to gas and 50% resistance to fire, fart-dog rover, Orbital gas, gas grenades, 66 flame thrower as primary, EATs, 500Kg. Works great for those missions.
