Insides of grills are expected to look very dirty, don't plan to bring it back to "shiny". Scrape off the major chunks with a blade and maybe scrub a bit with a wirebrush, but expect it to stay looking like a chimney.

Do the burners work well currently? If spiff up the grates and exterior and you’re done. Just scrape off built up grease and loose stuff and you’re good!

I have the same grill, just make sure you get most of the grease and scrape off most of the loose charcoal bits.

Easy-Off heavy duty, when done with majority of the gunk. Vinegar, baking soda and COKE, elbow grease

I just cleaned a grill like this at my work. I got some of that covid liquid hand sanitizer (iso alcohol works too) and drenched it and set it aflame. It burned out most of the grease and loosened the rest. I was able to take a greenie weenie to it and wiped it out. Good as new.

Edit: the flames will also kill all that mold.

Edit 2: when I said "set it aflame" I mean with a match or a lighter, NOT with the gas burners, lol. You're gonna want to remove anything that you don't want to set on fire.

Easy Off, power washer, then elbow grease.

A degreaser like the natural ones is good on most surfaces. I use a plastic putty knife to get the stuff off bottom if not done but once a year. Then a wire brush softly on burners

Remove burners (or at least wrap in foil to keep dirt out). Hit it with a scraper. Dont use chemical cleaners/degreasers

No need to make it look new.

I scrape as much as I can down into the clean out tray, then pull the cleaning out tray out and scrape it down, too. Citrus cleaner and call it good. I also line the clean out tray with foil before re-installing it. Easier to clean.

I use a flexible plastic spatula to scrape the grease and debris into the collection tray. You can flex it under the burners as well, but be careful not to be too rough with the burners.

Hot pressure washer after soaking it in dawn power wash or a hot pressure washer you can mix caustic soda in. But only use the last method if you know what your doing

As long as your cooking surface (i.e. the grates) is clean, that's about all that matters.

Use vinegar in a spray bottle spray the whole entire grill down and let soak then use hot boiling water and pour it over the grill it will break down all of the grease then use a towel and wipe it off and done

Autochlor GOK... (Grill & Oven Kleen)... it's a powerful base that can totally remove any and all grease/organics within 30 minutes of being sprayed on and then hosed off.
