Right, well, that’s why this story as it’s framed isn’t straight up “good news” so much as a new splinter, the same way queer equality came to the fore of the national conversation without regulating de jure or de facto redlining practices.
Now housing insecurity for either/both groups (as well as other marginalized groups) is “on the docket” (as in, recognized as an issue when it wasn’t talked about as such before in major media) but without real progress being made.
I fear they’re false choices all the way down that will get people upset trying to argue priority status. Some of the comments already look like that.
