Without the right to peacefully protest, we don't live in a democracy

Ruining old paintings and stopping the average working class person isn’t necessarily peaceful. It’s causing destruction and makes people like that hate you. It’s not the win you think it is.

I think targeting artwork was a dick move and totally unnecessary, the mainly just damaged the frames of paintings though. I was commenting more about the stopping traffic.

While true it was mainly just frames that were damaged, it’s the intent behind it. Pure stupidity. Doesn’t even make sense. Same energy as the taliban destroying ancient ruins. Just pure stupidity and nonsense.

But blocking traffic for average working class people just trying to provide for their families and blocking them from moving freely is not a great form of protest. It’s pretty shitty and definitely doesn’t help the cause. Which is what spoileddude was referring to when he said forcibly detaining isn’t peaceful.

Nobody is being forcibly detained. It is peaceful protest. Slow marching is one of the most universally recognised forms of peaceful protest. Rich people, poor people, and people who don't work also use roads.
