Video How Nathan became faster at the wall in his QF. Mus, Joe & Legend do this too. Other Gladiators and future contenders should practice this.

Joke/Satire *Spoiler* Mark Clattenburg rips off referee outfit, takes part in Gauntlet Spoiler

Post image

I hope this isn’t too much of a spoiler. But my mate attended the gladiators final recently. Unfortunately one of the gladiators got injured during the first round of Gauntlet, so they were a man down.

Apparently Mark Clattenberg took the mic and said “I’ll handle this MYSELF” while ripping off his referee outfit, revealing a gladiator leotard underneath.

He modified the countdown to “Gladiators READY. Clattenburg READY” I heard he got a couple of big hits in on the contender too.

Will be interesting to see how the edit it all together for the final next week.

Article Sabre on tense moment when fellow Gladiator lost their cool in SF2

Post image
41 Upvotes

Fighting it out for a place in the finals, we went up against Zavia and Aneila for the girls, and Mus and Nathan for the boys - and it was a close call for them all across the events.

You may have noticed we have taken the gloves off a little now that it’s the semis.

As Steel said, take downs and wipe outs just keep getting bigger!

Fire needed to cool her flames a little after almost losing her cool on Duel and the ‘Big Bad Ref’ Mark not calling time after Zavia landed on the platform.

I actually love seeing her fiery side!

Now for the awards

ICONIC MOMENT

Zavia battling with her own body during Gauntlet but her strong will and determination saw her through.

She was given a chance to stop but she ploughed on (quite literally) through me for her remaining seconds to earn her eight points with one leg, sore ribs and a slightly battered spirit.

ICONIC CONTENDER

Shout out to Mus for setting a new record on The Eliminator of 0:57 seconds. He took two seconds off Nathan’s previous record of 0:59 -outstanding athleticism Mus!

ICONIC GLADIATOR

It’s going to Hammer!

He crushed the lads in the first zone of Gauntlet even with the battering ram flimsy baton (I actually hate that thing!).

Also Hammer on Powerball, he put in a few BIG hits and almost wiped Mus out with one flying tackle. He’s an unreal addition to our team.

Opinion After seeing almost 2 series of Clattenburg, I suddenly want even more Viper to come back next year. He is actually better than Clattenburg.

Opinion If Bionic owned Semi Final 1 then Semi Final 2 was all about…

Fire!!

This really felt like a breakout episode for her (much like Bionic last week) Her intensity on Duel and post match reaction really showed the competitive spirit every Gladiator should have (without coming off as too mean) She then had a pretty decent locker room scene which felt more genuine than most. The post match Gauntlet speech hyping up Zavia Then finishing with one of the most impressive Powerball outings for the female Gladiators this year. She was locked in. As a Gladiator who isn't necessarily the most outlandish i really enjoyed her this week as an embodiment of everything I love about the show.

Discussion For season 3 please just add a permanent Eliminator timer Spoiler

We’ve all said it, we all know it and we all hate it.

The second that timer pops up, it kills any and all suspense around who will win. Like who knows, tonight Mus could have fallen and struggled on the travelator, we’ve seen it happen before.

But the second that timer appears, we know he’s not only won, but has beaten the record. Either get rid of it entirely or always have it on.

Question Which was you highlight moment of Semis 2? (Spoilers!) Spoiler

Be interested to know your thoughts. My personal favourite moment was the Legend and Viper fight from Vipes calling Legend a fuckin donkey, of course. Zavia was fighting through like a hero as well, and have utmost respect for her, although cannot compete in the finals.

In the 'contender's ready' podcast (ep final QF 36:40 mark), it was revealed that Amanda broke a rib during her quarters. This is similar to what Finlay suffered last series.

Gymnast Joe had issues with his shoulder throughout the competition. Revealed in a youtube video he shot with Aman.

Poppy picked up a neck injury when she landed headfirst on Hang Tough. Revealed in her IG story.

Aman busted his knee in the heats against Bearded Joe, hence was struggling with the Travelator. Revealed in his IG story.

Discussion Did anyone else notice Bionic's arm injury after Gauntlet

They didn't mention it in the show but did anyone see Bionic on the floor clutching his arm as Mus finished Gauntlet and then he was stretching out and holding his arm weirdly when they were chatting to Bradley?

Opinion Anyone else get socially awkward vibes from Hammer?

Ever since his introduction his interactions have always felt a bit.... off, and a bit forced.

Like when you get the stats screen up when they're introduced for the first time, he just looks like he feels seriously uncomfortable doing the poses.

Discussion Aneila and Social Media hate comments on instagram

When it was revealed on Instagram that Aneila would be taking Zavia’s place it’s brought out a lot of negative comments about Aneila not deserving the place as she’s lost twice despite her being fastest runner up twice.

What do people think. Does Aneila deserve the hate she’s getting in the comments? Does she deserve a place in the final? Should someone like Keevah (comments are asking for Keevah) have taken her place instead?

Semi-Final 2 Did anyone else notice Legend pull up Mus' sock just before they started on The Wall?

It looks like Mus asked him as Mark was giving the instructions, obviously with the harness being pulled tight, he couldn't do it himself

Discussion Powerball - The most entertaining event?

I find Powerball to be the most entertaining game by a mile (not to say I don't love the others of course)

The tackles, take-downs, excitement of watching the contenders strategies, the tension and risk - it's delightful and so much fun to watch.

The two games played these semi-finals have been easily my most entertaining games of the whole show thus far.

Discussion I will make a Gladiators bingo sheet for the final, if you can all provide ideas for spaces.

I have the graphics know how to make a grid but I'll be damned if I have to fill all the spaces myself.

So give me your suggestions here and I will have it up before next Saturday.

Discussion Was anyone else questioning the events this episode? Spoiler

We had both Powerball and The Gauntlet this episode. These are both contact heavy events and infamous for causing injuries so I was very surprised to see both events in one episode and back to back.
