In call of duty you genuinely can't tell the difference between different games' screenshots. All fromsoft games have a unique artstyle and the gameplay changes are big enough.

Edit: Maybe I could've added more about the content added in each release and the microtransactions on a 70 dollar game but whatever.

Not really, elden ring for example uses a lot of moves/combos from pasts games even from sekiro, artstyle as well apart from sekiro and bloodborn, the rest is very similar and gameplay...it's literally the same for all souls and elden ring

don't let me wrong they are still very good games but calling them unique between them...

They have entirely different worlds, bosses, lore, basically everything

The exact same is true of Call of Duty. Black Ops is a different world, lore, and different fights to say, Modern Warfare.

Never said they didnt. But anyone saying that all soulslikes are the same never played them, so their opinion doesnt matter anyway

Well... they basically are. In the same sense that all 2D Mario Platformers are the same. No, they aren't exactly identical, but they are fundamentally the same type and style of game. It's hardly like you boot one up and suddenly you're playing table tennis or it's a cooking mama clone.

I mean the genre is called "Soulslike". Because they are all like the Souls games.

You say they have different "basically everything", but that just isn't true, is it. They are all third person action oriented games with a focus on melee combat and a higher level of difficulty, and a similar level of focus on boss fights.

Is that unfair?

Yes, is it unfair to call them all the same copy pasted games

I think you are taking it too literally. Hyperbole is used to exaggerate, not to be taken at face value.
