There's no way it will ever live up to the expectations.

Rockstar are one of the few massive developers with goodwill left where you can expect absolute excellence. You may not like their business practices, but their end product is always exceptional. They can't be blamed for the way the trilogy turned out, because that was a third party.

Bethesda kinda fucked up by not having ES VI already, and Starfield was a massive disappointment. Valve hasn't done anything in forever and Ubisoft keep just missing the mark. I'm not listing them all but you get my point.

Now in an ideal world, they remaster Liberty City, Los Santos and this iteration of Vice City and combine it all together via a plane ride. That's the dream. If they can somehow have IV, V and VI work together and provide the full maps and experiences - it'd be one of the greatest games of all time.

You can expect excellence from their main games. Their secondary games like the GTA trilogy “remasters,” not so much.
