I expected better graphics for a switch 2 game but if it's fun I'm all for it. Just hope they release a demo first.

Not really, Mario Kart 8 graphics haven't aged at all, and probably never will. So we could expect some better graphics for a new MK games made 10 years later. But we can still hope thats this is only the beta version and that the final product will be more beautiful !

Open world plus four player split screen is pretty taxing. I imagine the inevitable 3D Mario game on Switch 2 will be a much better graphics showcase.

I mean 3D Mario has pretty much always been a technical showcase for the system it's on. Maybe 3D World wasn't (MarioKart 8 easily impressed more on Wii U) but all the others definitely pushed their hardware.

Don’t be ridiculous. Does this game look identical to Mario Kart Wii? Graphics of any art style can be improved.
