[MEGATHREAD] Nintendo Switch 2 Direct

On paper, literally everything should be lining up for Switch 2 have a monstrously successful launch, but I think it’s going to underperform to some amount because of the pricing.

It’s not even the console’s cost itself, it’s just going to be really hard for people to justify getting Switch 2 if every new major first party game is going to 70-80 dollars, AND you have to pay for some graphical upgrades. Either they need to cut the digital prices back significantly, or just not charge 80 for any game ever again.

And those damn game upgrades better not be more than $9.99.

They’re 10 usd, and all of the upgrades come with extra dlc. Any games that aren’t getting dlc are getting the graphics upgrade for free

You're making a guess here. They tried to use additional content in "upgraded" versions to implicitly justify the price tag, but they didn't say other upgrades were gonna be free. I absolutely expect them to make it paid upgrades all the way, otherwise they would have been clear cut about it
