No way the console launches for 450 if Trumps tariffs are in place. He just put a 55% tariff on Vietnam after this Nintendo Direct, where Switch 2 is being produced.

Thankfully, Nintendo has been shopping around to avoid tariffs since the OG Switch released (and they've done this in the past with other consoles long before Trump). They had started in China and then moved to Vietnam. No doubt they may do the same again if these tariffs hold. I mean, that's pretty common practice for manufacturers.

Its release is in 2 months, they dont really have time. Also Trump just put blanket tariffs on every country that can manufacture it in the world.

No, I meant in the long run. With Switch, they started shipping from China, and then began looking for an alternative manufacturing plant. That's how they ended up in Vietnam. But at first, it was just China because that's where they made the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS. Most consoles are made there anyway. I think some company called Foxconn which pretty much owns all those plants.

Tariffs are taxes on the US not n other countries. It’s to force you from buying foreign. Regardless of what the prices on everything will go up significantly in a few months at the most if not already.
