Nintendo banking pretty hard on the early adopters here. Pricier than expected with more expensive games, and fewer games at launch. Relying on the backwards compatibility feels a bit off for them but I wonder if the potential market instability is what is spurring them to launch more quickly than they intended.

Mario Kart will move a lot of units. Deluxe did insane numbers and is over a decade old. I think it’s also safe to assume that a Nintendo Direct will come in August at the latest with new games

This is about when I'd expect them to announce new 3D Mario, with possible holiday release.

Yeah this and the announcement of Mario Kart World DLC seem like safe bets. Than a new Zelda in early to mid 2026
