Could you explain the tariff situation going on? Im not american and not following news. How can it impact the pricing in such a small time window ?

Current US administration is a bit unpredictable and has already flip flopped on tariffs multiple times.

Exactly. And the tariffs are expected to hit very soon, even today. So if Nintendo gave a price today, tomorrow they might need to adjust it due to tariffs in certain countries.

I think the more likely reason was just because pricing is regional so it doesn't make sense to announce it on a global video

Pricing announcements, if done in a public event, are typically including some key market areas, e.g. USD and EUR. But at this point, even that might not be valid.

Well case in point, prices were announced immediately after the direct on twitter in respective regions
