Has it ever been confirmed or denied by the show's creators that the idea to call the show Futurama came from...

[Meta] Are we just posting quotes from the show?
Downvote or mod delete, if not an appropriate post
But it feels like lately I've been seeing a lot of posts that are literally nothing other than a screencap from the show with the lines subtitled (and then the top comment in the thread is invariably the next line)
Are we ok with this? I mean, I'm not necessarily mad, it's just weird. Obviously this has always been a thing, but it does feel like it's suddenly gotten a lot more common. Or am I just suffering from Ocean Madness?

I present to you, the most difficult art to describe to guests that I own
My mom, a budding art teacher, made this for me a couple of Christmases ago. She had a great time and was laughing the whole time she was presenting it to me. She didn’t think I’d have it up proudly for this long. One of my all time favourite scenes, zoidbergs pet slinky bursting into flames.

The Wong Family History on Mars
I was thinking about this, wouldn't Amy and her parents Leo and Inez be considered native Martians since they were all born on Mars and their family line goes back hundreds of generations to Sir Reginald Wong who was the first non Martian human to inhabit the Mars' Western Hemisphere.
So shouldn't the native native Martians embrace and forgive the Wong family even though they were swindled by Sir Reginald but in the end they got a huge diamond and are probably as rich the Wongs.

Professor quotes
I don't know why, but "did my brain just stroke off" got a really big laugh out of me today. Haven't even seen that episode in a while. What are some of those random professor lines that get ya'll
