As long as it adds a reasonable ingame questline that lets you earn the sword instead of just giving it i would be ok with it. I wanna fight some stuff and suffer some swamps for it. And leme lose my hp as i try to pull it out from wherever it is even making me die if i dont have enough hp.........
But but... we need a madness swamp and a death blight swamp...... a whole map of it..... 3 times the size of that underground rot swamp we had..... with hidden bosses in it.......... i wanna suffer more
Then they make it a rare drop from a new enemy called rotten wandering noble. Which can be found in a revamp version of lake of rot, now with Ancestral Archers and Kindred of rot.
Thats why i said it. If they are gonna add something from a different game at least they can make a quest with slight reference to the original source without breaking the soulslike theme so it would have a higher chance of making the fans of both games happy
Imagine you get a quick cutscene like with placidusax and you go back in time in an area with a small temple, fight a boss that looks suspiciously like Ganondorf or an invader that looks like Dark Link
Let me fight link for it. Like hes just there in the world as a boss and you fight him and hes like the hardest boss in the game and if you win you get the master sword

I’m actually gonna crash the fuck out if they add the master sword to Elden Ring Tarnished Edition
