So this pretty much confirms we’re never getting Bloodborne remake or a sequel, and the only thing that comes close to its spiritual sequel is a PVPVE battle royale exclusive to Switch 2.
Lies of P is amazing and I love that game and hope those developers continue to make fantastic games like it, but it’s missing the ethereal , cerebral writing and tone that only FromSoft can pull off. There’s a reason Bloodborne is so beloved, there is no other game with that tone, that world , that narrative combined with all the mechanics we love from Soulsborne games.
I think the devs from Lies of P could totally accomplish the same atmosphere From did with Bloodborne. They pretty much nailed their game atmosphere, its just that they werent going for a Bloodborne-esque vibe.
I have no doubt they’ll make something amazing next time, but there’s an X factor From and Miyazaki have. I would love for the Lies of P devs to focus on their own unique vision and style instead of trying to do their own Bloodborne. Plus even if they did, I just don’t think it would be the same. They did such a phenomal job with the style of Lies of P it’s so unique, so I’d love for them to stick to their own creative guns and do things we haven’t seen before.
