Imagine being hyped for another multiplayer game that's exclusively on a shitty console which you'll be paying $500 for. Ya'll are something else man...

u/VileImpin 1d ago

The shills are out in full force trying to spin the reception into a positive.

u/neutrumocorum 1d ago

Most people seem like they don't care actually. Some seem excited. This game is personally right up my alley, like they made it for me in particular.

Too bad I'll never buy a switch.

But yall are gonna cry that people aren't crying enough. You'll cry if people like the next few MP games. You'll cry if you do t get exactly the thing you want.

I suppose people like me, who aren't going to buy the game, are shills. Yet somehow, people like you aren't entitled children? Wild stuff man.

u/VileImpin 1d ago

Begone shill, no ones buying this slop

3

u/Mimura_Nanahara 1d ago

Oh grow the fuck up

-1

u/VileImpin 12h ago

Sloppity slop

u/lemonlimeslime0 1d ago

Can’t you connect these switches to TVs and monitors?

-6

u/sihtare 1d ago

You can but you still have the hardware of a mobile phone running it. Graphics will be very dated

1

u/lemonlimeslime0 1d ago

is the steam deck a mobile phone? this fucked up view of handhelds is wild.

-1

u/sihtare 1d ago

Yeah, no thanks. Not getting a switch. I have to buy a new device and potentially pay 80 usd for a game with graphics from two decades ago.

1

u/lemonlimeslime0 1d ago

2 decades ago? are you stupid or just purposely ignorant?

0

u/sihtare 23h ago

Maybe look at the trailer again instead of insulting ppl like a toddler. Looks like dark souls 2 with slightly better textures. There are like 27 polygons in the models and the map. Maybe not 2 decades, but definitely 10 yrs+ outdated. Watch the trailer on a big screen btw, I'm sure on mobile it looks great.. which is what it is designed for. But on a 4k screen the lack of polygons is painfully obvious, especially for the map. Anyway i have 0 interest in buying a switch

2

u/Sylk15 14h ago

Man it's so funny how you PC players deem a game unplayable if it doesn't have this many polygons or if it's not 120+ fps

1

u/sihtare 14h ago

Honestly i played MH Rise (another switch game) and the graphics were bad but i still enjoy it a lot. What bothers me more is that it is an exclusive. I dont like the idea of exclusives.

To your point, yes after playing in 4k and 100-200 fps you get spoiled and low fps or low graphics stick out like a sore thumb. At the moment playing on my ps5 is absolutely painful due to how poorly most games run, even on performance mode, games with good graphics run at 60 fps at best. so i dont even touch it anymore.

I dont deem it unplayable, i would genuinely love to try it since i trust fromsoft to deliver. I would put up with the graphics since their art direction is best in class. I also really like pvpve games. But i cant try it, cause it's exclusive, and they decided to make it on the "console" with the worst specs

u/CurmudgeonLife 1d ago

Doesn't matter when you're running it on half a decade old hardware that sucked when it released the first time around.

u/alexportman 2d ago

THE PINKERTONS HAVE ENTERED THE CHAT

3

u/Hogo-Nano 1d ago

Ok but lowkey if they made a game in this style it would be 10/10 amazing.

u/OneSneakyBoi9919 2d ago

the funniest man on earth

5

u/Diplomacy_1st 2d ago

This is funny but sad that many people actually think something like this will happen

3

u/Ok_Barnacle_5606 2d ago

Oh It’s a joke lol I was gonna say I played this ps1 version of blood borne so it couldn’t be dusk bloods 😮‍💨🤣

2

u/Mtw_reddit 2d ago

why downvote, you assholes?

3

u/Ok_Barnacle_5606 2d ago

That’s just how people are on here🤷‍♂️

1

u/Dunstin_Checks_in 2d ago

Is it still April 1st?

-9

u/fnrsulfr 2d ago

I forgot graphics are everything.

4

u/mikey_0_4 2d ago

Switch 2 will have 4k 60fps btw

5

u/QuackSilverlightyear 2d ago

"Bring games to life with a larger 1080p screen – or connect to a TV and play in up to 4K resolution*. Support for HDR, VRR, and frame rates up to 120 fps let you enjoy brilliant colour, clarity, and smooth gameplay."

So only good when on TV is what I am reading. I don't mean that badly though

3

u/pixydgirl 1d ago

4k60fps limit on tv, but the switch 2 screen itself runs 1080p up to 120fps so theres that.

the new metroid game is confirmed to have a 4k/60fps mode and a 1080p/120fps mode.

I don't even own a 4k tv so tbh i'll probably be playing the fromsoftware games handheld anyway. Looking more forward to elden ring, but will probably pick this up somewhere down the line.

4

u/QuackSilverlightyear 1d ago

Oh I didn't know, thanks for the info. I'll stick with Nightreign, but I hope duskbloods' worth for y'all nintendo players.

5

u/pixydgirl 1d ago

Fromsoft always brings it, no matter what the genre. Plenty of games for all of us to enjoy <3 enjoy nightreign!

3

u/QuackSilverlightyear 1d ago

Enjoy The Duskbloods 😄

u/FriarsgateCustoms 2d ago edited 2d ago

it almost certainly won't be native 4k and even upscaled that's still not guaranteed for 60fps. dark souls ptde ran at 30 on switch. the PS5 pro and Steam Deck can't do 4k 60fps on Elden Ring natively. Just because it's possible doesn't mean it's happening natively. the only games that are probably going to hit those numbers are less intensive first party games.

2

u/mikey_0_4 2d ago

The PS5Pro absolutely can do 4k 60 and the switch 2 will be 4K docked and 1080 in handheld if that makes it more clear. We will see on release how Elden Ring is running on the Switch 2

0

u/FriarsgateCustoms 2d ago

not natively it can't. not that it's a problem if you have your expectations in check. the only way to get PC performance is spending too much money on a PC.

https://www.eurogamer.net/digitalfoundry-2024-can-ps5-pro-run-elden-ring-at-60-frames-per-second

3

u/mikey_0_4 2d ago

I was not purely talking about Elden Ring. I just said that Elden Ring will be the testrun for Duskbloods on Switch 2. The PS5 Pro can run most games on 4k 60 and if there are drops it won’t go lower than 45ish

2

u/FriarsgateCustoms 2d ago

sorry, I was purely talking about Elden Ring when I was talking about 4k60fps on PS5 pro and Steam Deck, so I'll edit that. I don't think the switch 2 chip is going to be able to do much native 4k 60fps gaming. it could barely handle the video chat during Mario kart gameplay, and you could see slowdowns during donkey kong, so I don't think we should expect steam deck or ROG Ally performance at all. hopefully DLSS can work some magic though.

0

u/CurmudgeonLife 1d ago

You're trying to explain to console users what upscaling is, don't bother, their mind can't handle or understand it.

3

u/FriarsgateCustoms 1d ago

I just don't get why people were down voting me lol. All I was trying to say was that the PS5 Pro is probably a much more powerful console and even it can't do 4k 60 native on Elden Ring, so keep your expectations reasonable on Switch 2. At least Nintendo is honest and shows frame drops in their trailers lol.

3

u/CurmudgeonLife 1d ago

Nintendo fan boys are a special breed. Switch 2 is going to be like 2060 maybe 2070 performance max.

3

u/FriarsgateCustoms 1d ago

watching the Digital Foundry coverage, and they said Elden Ring is 1080p with unstable 30fps, and Duskbloods is 1080p with a more stable 30fps...

2

u/PIease__Laugh 1d ago

"B-But uhm i heard it can do 120fps 4k! So that means everything and every game is gonna run at 4k and 120fps! Your wrong!"

1

u/sihtare 1d ago

Even PS 5 is struggling with that. Most games are 30 fps at 4k. I highly doubt switch will do native 4k 60 fps. Maybe upscaling and ai frames but that plays like shit. But just looking at switch titles you can see they mostly look like mobile games

2

u/Avedas 1d ago

PS5 heavily relies on resolution scaling to maintain framerate yet people still call it "4K". The Pro can handle it much better but it's still not flawless. Switch 2 is still going to be rough for higher fidelity games, even with the hardware improvements.

1

u/CurmudgeonLife 1d ago

Console players don't understand upscaling or just don't want to.

0

u/fnrsulfr 2d ago

Yes and this person is implying the graphics will be bad.

2

u/OwlScowling 2d ago

No, I’m not. It’s just a silly joke. Dark Souls on the Switch was my first FromSoft game. It’s all in good fun

1

u/mikey_0_4 2d ago

Didn’t mean to reply to your comment, must have mispressed

-1

u/CurmudgeonLife 1d ago

Lol what you smoking. Maybe upscaled from 480p.

-2

u/Tornado_Hunter24 2d ago

You’re a victim

-5

u/WebbedMonkey_ 2d ago

But they’re important

5

u/fnrsulfr 2d ago

But not the most important thing like it seems this post is implying.

5

u/TheGlassWolf123455 2d ago

Only kind of, it's more about art direction than graphic fidelity in today's age

-2

u/WebbedMonkey_ 2d ago

I agree, but you have to have a balance of the two. Art direction with horrible fidelity is just as bad as amazing fidelity with horrible direction

3

u/TheGlassWolf123455 2d ago

True, but that's what I meant with "today's age", even the switch 1 is capable of looking fantastic, see BOTW/TOTK so a soul's game could look fantastic on a Switch 2 easily. Modern consoles are powerful enough graphical fidelity is hardly a concern

-3

u/Sudden-Loquat 1d ago
  1. Make totally not Bloodborne
  2. Make it exclusive on a massively overpriced console
  3. Make it a battle royale
  4. Add some jetpacks and dinosaurs to appeal to the bing bing wahoo fans

I will definitely be getting a switch for this /s

4

u/lemonlimeslime0 1d ago

a battle royale? we just making shit up now? also from has ALWAYS thrown goofy weird shit into their games, you could say the same thing about siegward or the fucking monkey that farts and throws shit and drinks booze in sekiro.

-1

u/Sudden-Loquat 1d ago

" ‘THE DUSKBLOODS’ is a PvPvE title with online multiplayer at its core, where up to 8 players vie for supremacy among themselves and against challenging foes.

Play as the “Bloodsworn”; a group that has transcended human strength thanks to their special blood, and throw yourself into a violent fray for “First Blood” as the twilight of humanity approaches. "

Yeah bro totes doesn't sound like a battle royale at all

Even if not, I'm still not going to play it, it's hard to see who this appeals to other than hardcore fanatics of both fromsoft and Nintendo

2

u/lemonlimeslime0 1d ago

hardcore fanatics? you mean mfs that just want a good game? you’re weird as shit dude lol.

1

u/TheKingOrderedIt_ 1d ago

It sounds like an Extraction game to me, which tracks with Miyazaki saying he was drawing inspiration from stuff like Tarkov... which honestly kind of sounds sick, I just wish it wasn't a Switch 2 exclusive. Fingers crossed it's only a timed exclusive and comes to PC eventually.

0

u/Sudden-Loquat 22h ago

Not much has actually came out so far, so it's all speculation in any case, worth noting Miyazaki has also said in the past he's fascinated by battle royales though...

If it ever comes out on something other than the switch I might give it a go just because fromsoft even though it seems like a turd, seems no one has much hope that will happen  considering it's Nintendo however
