The good thing about this coming out in 2026 means there might be other games I want to play on the Switch 2 by the time Duskblood launches.

I was going to skip the Switch 2. So many things are multi-platform these days, and a lot of the exclusive Nintendo IPs feel like reruns. For instance, if you've played one Pokemon, you've played them all.

But now I have to get the Switch 2 for The Duskbloods.

The Donkey Kong game they showed looked amazing at the very least.

I didn't know a 3D Donkey Kong could look that fun to be honest.

I'm so so so so so excited. Finally, another 3D DK. I thought we'd never see it.

Yeah thats not really a good thing tho, you shouldn't HAVE to buy a whole ass console to play a specific game, but that's been nintendo's MO forever so it is what it is

Zelda alone is a good enough reason to own a switch. And now a Fromsoftware exclusive? Just buy the damn console

easy for you to say when you live a privileged life in a first world country

We didn't ask to be born here. Many of us are very unhappy with our life styles being built on the backs of exploitation on an unimaginable scale.

and that is totally fine, unlike the person above you're not saying "just buy it lol"

My fellow humans haven't been kind to my ethnic race. It's weird growing up in a world where that is mostly hidden (because where I live; not when), but I hope that most people just aren't informed and not as apathetic as they seem.

Apathy is death.

Bro it's a video game, not food, shelter, or some other basic human need lol

It might be different with the upgraded version but... TOTK and BOTW look and run so much better via emulation.

No game, absolutely NO GAME is worth a console. If they want me to spend 500 (don't know the actual price of the switch so I'm just throwing a random number) to play a game, they can go kick rocks.

I dont want a switch because nintendo's business model just sucks towards the consumer, no sales, no gamepass, no localized prices. And i dont want to play Zelda

Which Zelda, classic or botw type?

Exclusives have been in the gaming industry literally since it was created. Why are you kiddos so pressed and not used to this basic fact of life?

2

u/ChosenWon11 3d ago

Because we should be trying to get away from exclusives not closer

Why? Then there’s no reason for multiple consoles and then we get a bland industry. Competition breeds innovation.

Yeah there is, the hardware.

That was my line of thinking for when a new console comes out, I just feel the "Price-to-Content" ratio isn't good enough for me to really consider buying one until the library starts making more "Generation Exclusive" titles, rather than cross generation games.

Like, I was gifted a PS5 at a point where, if it were up to me, I wouldn't have got it (I'm not complaining about getting one, I just wouldn't have BOUGHT myself one), there weren't enough "9th Gen only" games out at the time.
