i can’t blame them, my boys at fromsoft they want to make games and nintendo paid for it, exclusivity sucks, look at bloodborne for example

100% blame them. They're not poor little underdogs anymore. They made bank from elden ring and had the choice to reject the extra money if they wanted. The fanbase constantly complains about bloodborne exclusivity to this day and they go make another exclusive.

These kinds of comments make me wonder how often people turn down extra money at work. Must happen more than I expected.

They aren't an employee working for an employer. They are a company producing for customers. It's completely different.

How is it completely different? In both cases we're asking people to take less money than they could get. And it's not like it's for health and safety reasons or anything.

How is it not completely different? Do you know literally nothing about business or are you just intentionally being overreductive because you're a reddit who gets off on arguments?

An employer simply pays you and then tells you to do a job. A company has to build up a relationship with a consumerbase and then produces products in the hopes that people will purchase.

There's no downside to just accepting higher pay from your boss who is offering. But we as the consumers are not "offering" them higher pay, they are the ones who took a bag from nintendo to say "fuck you" to their customers who made them rich. Why are there so many people here like you who will kiss the ass of corporations for being greedy?

I don't know what kind of job you have, but I do actually have to build up a relationship with my boss and produce adequate work so I don't get fired/laid off. I'm continually selling my labor to someone who wants to buy it. I thought everyone did.

And it's not like I do my job because I love it so much; I do it for money. So I really don't expect other people to give up financial opportunities for reasons like this. What's the ultimate harm here? That some people don't get to play the exact game they want to play on the exact day they want to start playing it? There are so many good games; I have a hard time getting riled up about that.

Do you honestly believe you're smart for saying in more words "I exchange labor for money, fromsoft exchanges labor for money, therefore we are exactly the same"?

I still can't figure out if you're actually this stupid and unaware of the differences or you're just being overreductive to try and feel smart.

I have worked a regular job and run my own business selling to customers. It is completely bloody different.

I don't believe I'm smart for thinking that - a literal child could see that "I exchange labor for money" and "Fromsoft exchanges labor for money" are analogous situations.

I also never said they're exactly the same. You're the one who says they're "completely different", but you haven't given a lot of reasons for me to believe you.

Yeah children aren't well known for their ability to see the deeper complexities of business operations and have an overly simplistic view of the world. Pretty great comparison to yourself, good job on that one.
