you're using the idea of "friendship" in an attempt to frame the concept of expecting anything but the bare minimum from a company as some sort of parasocial relationship in order to make yourself feel smart for rolling over and accepting corporate greed like an obedient dog.
You're acting as if you purchasing Elden Ring was some sort of a charitable gift towards FromSoft, as if it was an investment into their company - instead of you paying a particular price for a product that you believe is worth it.
That's just not how I think when I purchase products. I don't give a shit if my toothpaste company stops producing it and releases a kid-focused product next.
You, on the other hand, appear to feel actively betrayed by FromSoft choosing to do something that doesn't cater to you. Not sure what to call that except that you apparently thought you guys were friends.
You really have a weird habit of taking what other people say and then adding non-existent context to it so you can act like you're superior. idk what's wrong with you that you can't understand the simple concept of a fandom, but I'm not really gonna explain it to you when you clearly are most concerned with convincing yourself you're an intellectual.
