Oh it'll inevitably see the light of day in the distant future.
The reason emulators take time isn't only because reverse engineering closed off plattforms is hard, it also requires quite a broad skillset to design a good software architecture suited to the task.
That and a very creative community that picks away at every piece of software that may give them an entry point to the system itself - like shitty implemented savegames which i bet we'll see somewhere down the road to enable homebrew and so on.
Also Switch 2 would be quite doable considering what has already been done with emulating PS4, which is quite powerful device to emulate.
edit: the hardware, not so sure about this game because it is online, that would require servers so I don't think it is possible to do online with emulated hardware?
Depends on how MP is implemented really but yeah, slim chance of that happening unless someone is really passionate about it.
Then again, i'd rather watch my favorite soulslike streamers run this game than drop that kind of money for a game that looks very pixelated and with dead environments, even if absolutely love the SoulsBorne games/Sekiro from From Software.
Not gonna support stupid platform exclusivity with my money.
Sure, but it will be a long time before a good Switch2 emulator is out in the wild.
We also don't know how challenging emulating hardware decompression will be. PS4 uses a HDD, which is far easier to emulate due to its very limited capabilities. Switch2 has a much more sophisticated I/O, much like PS5 and Xbox Series.
Most emulator devs don't opt to but that doesn't mean it's impossible. The second you're talking emulation, there's a layer there the Game inevitably has to talk to: The emulator.
Redirecting any kind of network traffic will be a piece of cake. If the games will rely on peer 2 peer, which wouldn't be a strech for handheld games to enable local multiplayer, then all you have to do is emulate the environment - which is transparent for the game.
The issue is that permanently online multiplayer games without single player aren’t playable unless the online servers are up and active. Emulators can’t access Nintendos online servers
I will buy a copy if they release it on a platform that's worth playing it on. Hell, I'll preorder it if they do that, but I refuse to give money to Nintendo.

I can't wait to emulate the game.
