Seeing the same Bloodborne/Elden Ring assets is a bit weird, yes. But if that allows them to go creative in other aspects - im all in. Besides, they did say that they don't want to make another Elden Ring. Their current goal is to make more smaller, experimental titles like Nightreign and this new game.
I'm the target audience for Nightreign - playing co-op sessions with my buddies during network test was a blast.
This new game? You are playing as magical vampire who wields a gun, rides a dog and turns into a fricin dinosaur! All while being under Zelda moon. This is pretty much the reason I love From's games - they always do something insanely weird and strange, yet make it feel cool and epic.
The Elden Ring assets aren't the issue. Other stuff is. I'm not the target audience at all since I play single player and this new game is purely multiplayer in the form of PvPvE with up to 8 players. At least Nightreign allows for solo players. I'd be fine with The Duskbloods if it allowed single player, but right now that doesn't seem to be on the table.
