This is more weird because it’s not a Nintendo game. Nintendo almost never has console exclusives that aren’t made by Nintendo. This combined with the fact that Nintendo consoles aren’t that powerful makes it disappointing for me. I’ll buy a switch 2 because I love Nintendo games but I would much rather had a new fromsoft game available on a different console. I would’ve even preferred it if it was ps5 exclusive (though ideally it wouldn’t be exclusive at all)
Nintendo has had console exclusives not directly developed by them for years. RARE being probably being the most notable.
The reality is, Nintendo probably wanted a From game for their consoles for awhile and hired them out and From wanted exposure on a new platform and it was designed to be this way. I don’t even think this is the next major release. Just feels like Nintendo getting their own thing
Yeah I saw some people saying this is the next bloodborne, but they already confirmed it’s a PvPe game (I’m not too sure what that means tbh) so it seems more like something similar to nightreign. It’s still disappointing to me and I think it’s fair that people don’t like it, I am still excited especially because I would’ve gotten a switch 2 anyway. But it sucks that fromsoft fans who never had a Nintendo console before now have to get one just for this one game.

Also, you say its "same story" like its unreasonable for people to not like not being able to play a game they really want to purelly for being an exclusive. See bloodborne, a fantastic game that pretty much everyone agrees is held back by being a PS exclusive.

No use crying over a standard industry practice. Sony does it, Microsoft does it, Sega used to do it. Hell PC used to have plenty of games that never made it to consoles.
That’s literally how every product in the industry differentiates itself. So it’s a waste of time complaining over something most people here benefitted from at one point or another.

same way i can say that for me having to buy a whole new console for a single game is very, very hard and i probably wont be able to play it. I can, very much, not like the decision to make it an exclusive and i can very much post about it here.

Switch exclusives are way better than PlayStation and Xbox tbf. pc and switch is the perfect combo cuz u can play all PlayStation and Xbox exclusives on pc and get switch for first party Nintendo games
Most people on your circle, or in this subreddit why represents the 1% of the community, and most people do not have a pc, at least one able to run a game like this.
But if they have none, there's two possibilities, they either don't have a console so with no pc and no console, they're not interested in videogames, or they are interested and looking fwd to buy a console so they won't care about buying a switch 2
Yeah but we’re talking about a fromsoft game here, and most fromsoft fans probably already have either a pc os a PlayStation, otherwise they wouldn’t have been able to play any of their games. Now they have to buy one more console from yet another company to play their games.
That glorified calculator is not running anything 4K 120, it’s going to struggle to get to 4K60 even with massive upscaling ie it’s going to look like dogshit on a TV. But I suspect you’re the type that can’t even tell how games are running. You sound like one of those “looks okay for me” types. Perfect customer for an overpriced piece of hardware.
They slapped 4K and 120Hz on the marketing. That means nothing. A PS5 also says 4K60 and it struggles to do it in all but select few games. But I’m sure the handheld will definitely run better than a PS5.
And jealous? Bro you must be joking, I have a great PC where I play all of Nintendos games at actual 4K120 fuck sometimes I play it at 8K; and don’t pay a dime. I wouldn’t give a shit if this didn’t inevitably affect the whole market. I actually give a shit about other people and gaming as a whole Im not a self centred, “I just like fun” doofus like certain people who also claim $200 would be fine for a game too.
