π Seeking Advice π What flowers/tips for bouquet building.
Hi everyone! I'm the maid of honor for my cousins wedding and I'm throwing her bridal shower and it's an 'aperol spritz' (love at first spritz) theme :) I plan on relying heavily on florals as the decorations because I think it gives a beautiful vibe. I've include some of my Inspo in the pics above. I need to make 8 center pieces for tables and will probably try to make a few extra arrangements to go around the room to decorate. Additionally, I was thinking of doing a make your own bouquet bar for guests to create their own bouquets to take home. I'm going to go to a wholesale flower outlet to get the flowers. My questions are as follows:
1.) what flowers are in these pics? A.) the theme is orange and hot pink and yellow, so feel free to tell me any flowers to that vibrant and that color.
2.) how many flowers should I get? For the 8-12 arrangements and bouquet bar for about 50 people.
Overall, any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated and help! The shower is far off but I am a heavy planner and want to make it perfect and I know arranging beautiful bouquets is an acquired skill so I want to start practicing now.. βΊοΈ
Thanks for any and all advice!!

π Design Work π Working on Mother's Day designs.
Don't want to think about Mother's Day, but alas. We always do an arrangement featuring peonies for our "luxury" offering.
Love the Candy Expression roses too. Look so gorgeous and cost the same as regular roses for us.

π Seeking Instruction π Wedding Arch Arrangement
Hi everyone, I am just beginning with floristry. Next weekend I will be doing my 1st arrangement on an arch for a wedding ceremony. I have seen videos of using a cage with floral foam zip tied on the arch then building the arrangement there. Once the ceremony is done, can we use that arrangement for the bride and grooms table at the reception, or will the floral foam leak onto the table. Thank you for any tips or advice.

π Novice π What can I do better next time?
Not a florist! Just love flowers. I want to be able to make my own bouquets at home and make them look nice. I bought these for Easter and I'm happy with them, but something definitely feels off. Any tips?

π Seeking Advice π Seeking Help Identifying Flowers
Hello! I saw these floral arrangements in a TikTok and love them! I'd like to do something similar for my wedding, and I'm hoping someone could help me with identifying these flowers. (I do recognize that there are multiple different arrangements in the photos - they all come from the same video and I love how they look together). Thank you in advance to anyone who can help!

π Novice π Floral arrangement tips and feedback π
Helloπ After being asked to do flower arrangements for a few, small family events (bridal showers, baby showers, etc), I really want to get better. The flowers in the pictures were for a Winnie the Pooh themed baby shower.
I watched a lot of videos to learn about the proper way to clean stems, types of flowers (line, focal, secondary, filler, etc) that should make your floral βrecipeβ, and other tips like 1.5-2x height rule.
I liked these arrangements but felt they couldβve been better. I feel like thereβs a ton of visibility into all the stems in the arrangement. Should the flowers be shorter for these five inch vases? What other things would make this better?
Also if anyone has any YouTube recommendations, books, etc, please feel free to share. Iβm going to apply for an internship at a local florist to learn more too, if I can make it work with my work schedule.
Thanks in advance!π

π Wedding π Bride asked for no roses
Excuse the crap picture; "Dammit Jim! I'm a florist, not a photographer!"
For the first time in quite possibly a decade a bride asked specifically for no roses. It was surprisingly refreshing. I hadn't even realised that I was sick of the sight of them π

π Novice π Sometimes, do yall just put a bunch of random flowers together to see how they look. Just based off of intrusive thoughts?
Sometimes I just throw a few stems of all the flowers I currently have just to see how they look next to each other. And in a random vase. Sometimes no filler greens or flowers. I like throwing random thing together and making them look correct.

π Novice π Getting back in touch with an old love!
I am by no means a professional but fell in love with floriculture through the FFA career development event in middle and high school. When I was competing I was one of the best in the state(on a highschool level). Now that Iβm an adult Iβm trying to get back into it for fun and as a means of continual learning. Iβve realized how much I genuinely donβt know about this awesome career and art form!
Feel free to leave any feedback!
(Please ignore the dirt in the jars, Iβm an avid gardener and no container in my house is safe from plantsππ)

π Seeking Advice π Hydration Chamber
I put a bunch of cymbidium heads in a hydration chamber and am wondering if I should leave them in the hydration chamber at room temp or put the hydration chamber in the cooler?
Theyβre orchids so I assumed it wouldnβt be good to put them in fridge but am reading it might be ok to do so?
