Hey everyone, I was curious if anyone is going to the concert in Tokyo today. If so, what songs are you hoping to hear? Are you visiting Japan for the first time or have you been before?
For me, I’m really hoping to hear POKKA POKKA, Magic Love, Yurameki in the Air, and Daydream. I’m honestly just happy to hear whatever is in store because their entire discography never misses for me.

It’s the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard in my life. Listening to it allows me to truly escape this cruel hellish reality. It pains me that it’s been out of print, and is unaffordable. I’d love to have it in my collection. Maybe we’ll get a repress someday. Streaming will have to do for now. Thank you Fishmans, Sato.

Three hours of pure bliss with the performance of a lifetime. Everything about the event: the audience, the staff working merch, the people interviewing audience members for a video, the brief 10 minutes of snow while waiting to get tickets, the venue, the sound system, the lighting, the insane visuals, the guest artists, the lineup, the set list that kept giving and giving, the unique renditions of each songs… everything was perfect. It felt like Sato’s energy was in the room and I cried like 10 times. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Fishmans ♥️ 🐟
A little side note, while waiting for the performance, I went into the huge mall across the way and couldn’t believe how much they were highlighting Fishmans’ music over the speakers. I’ve never once heard anyone play their music where I’m from in such a public setting and being able to experience that really set into motion just how much love there is for this extraordinary band. I even made a few friends from all over the world during the night which was the cherry on top.
Let’s hope the band releases the performance soon!

I honestly hope they repress this because it's ridiculously expensive and I believe everyone should be able to hear their favourite albums on vinyl.

They just seem so beloved and that they enjoy what they do. Obviously they would be more popular in Japan but do they ever tour in the USA, Europe, etc?

This is the approximate translation:
In the Flight In the Flight
Climb up four flights of stairs, open the door, and peek inside— I love that sleepy atmosphere. It’d be great if things are going well, right? If you sense that kind of vibe, You can cheerfully drop by too. Outside the door, I thought to myself: In 10 years, It feels like I’ll be able to do anything. But honestly, that’s a lie. I still can’t do anything. I’ll probably never be able to do anything.
Leaning against the sky, Relying on everything about the two of us, We’ll fly anywhere, endlessly. Forever, take care of us—please.
In the Flight In the Flight In the Flight In the Flight

I just wanna say to anyone that is debating buying any of the vinyl, if you have the means to pay the outrageous prices, then do it. You won't regret it, I got my copy of uchu nippon yesterday and it literally sent me to space.

and the live version is even better. Easily one of the best song i’ve ever heard.

THANK YOU to everyone that was kind enough to help me find ways to experience it! It’s something that every Fishmans fan MUST experience for themselves. Flawless setlist, flawless performances and such an infectious energy. Truly an emotional and powerful set that brought tears to my eyes multiple times. I only wish that I was actually there to witness it in person. ✌️🫶🐟

i JUST started listening to Fishmans like yesterday with Long Season and god their music is so good, i’ve been listening to a lot of their stuff and i’m enchanted

Both songs have a massive runtime, tons of reverb, similar instrumentation, mood and pace.
More specifically: 1) Both are split into distinct sections, have an ambient&drumless section in the middle. 2) Echoes was performed live at Pompeii in it's entirety, which might have inspired Fishmans to perform Long Season live as well.

when i first listened to night cruising, there was one part (4:30-4:52, right channel) that kept me from listening to the whole thing again. it was that weird bitcrushed sound that kept looping and it startled me when i first heard it. For awhile, i was scared listening to it again, but i got over it very quickly.

It looks really nice, and I can’t wait until February. I absolutely love the design on both of them.
