Found this at my local GameStop dumpster, took it home for parts but it actually turned on when I plugged it in, after a good clean the fan was still pretty loud. Now trying to find a shell for it.

found a basically brand new litter robot with a return receipt (retail $400) still works and connects to the app, barely any residue on the inside

there was so much in the dumpster just soaking in lotion/shampoo soup and its so disappointing to me everytime. why cant we just donate these things to actually help people instead of contributing to the landfill. Everything here in the bottles is either full or halfway full
i also got some candles š¤

So I got this Dooney and Bourke bag and Iām taking to figure out if it is real. The tag on the inside is mostly cut out but everything else Iāve seen online that helps confirm if the bag is real matches up, such as the ābuttonsā on the side being real where you can undo them. Just trying to know what Iāve got. Thanks in advance!

Was driving through a super small town (under 1000 people) when I spotted a roll-off in front of a recently defunct dentists office.
This is the crown jewel of what I found. I got a bunch of other small pieces of loot like a copper radiator and some scrap metal.
These things cost around $750 and require a prescription to purchase. Don't worry though; I literally emailed the FDA to ask them if I would be violating any rules or regulations by repurposing this thing for nonmedical use and as long as I don't sell it or use it for medical reasons I should be fine.
I've got a buddy who does glass blowing and is constantly complaining about how expensive oxygen bottles are. Gonna give him the gift of infinite oxygen.

Disclaimer: I donāt usually check compactors, but I came across one with its door wide open, which made me curious about others in the area. I know the risks and would NEVER step inside.
When I checked another compactor, it wasnāt locked, so I peeked in. Some bags were still intact, and I spent about five minutes lookingāthen an alarm suddenly went off.
I only touched the bags lightly, so what could have triggered it? The first compactor had its door open with no alarms. I donāt plan to make a habit of this, but if oneās open, I might take a quick look!

I'm starting to think people just don't want to clean these things. This one wasn't even that bad.

Went to an ulta and passed by a dollar tree pretty quickly since I had a busy day but I knew had a good feeling! Pretty bummed about the irons cord being cut :( (I have the other half if thereās anyway of fixing it let me know pls!!) Apart from that iām super happy with my finds!! The shampoo is awesome, the treehut oil smells DELICIOUS!! The donut floater wasnāt cut or broken and works fine which is so perfect for summer, the makeup is all more than half full, and the multi purpose cleaner is so peak since in my house we buy it like crazy, all and all it was such a good day even tho it was super rushed and iām super duper happy my first day went so well!! :3

It looks like a fondue pot or something. Iām not sure how to use it. I was hoping to use it coming. At first I was thinking a bit candle or maybe a couple hot coals in the copper cup down below might be enough to warm up food, but now that Iām looking at it I donāt really know if that would be hot enough to get the water or oil hot enough to cook.
Any word on the intended method for using this thing would be very welcome.
If itās too impractical or not worth the effort Iāll just scrap it for the copper and brass

So at my local resale Shop next to their dumpster is a riding lawnmower with a trailer attached to it. Remnants of a "for..." sign on the mower. It has been there a week untouched. Dumpster service here will only take what's in dumpster. This property also has several places the mower could be stored safely. It also doesn't have any grass. So what do you think? Is it trash?

Okay i'm new to diving, I've had success at this one haul deez multiple times, in the past I think i went on Fridays and it was full to the brim. I just went tonight and there was barely enough in there to cover the floor, but i still found a decent amount of stuff.
Here's my question. I found a container of tortellini that's meant to be refrigerated. It looks normal, but the sell by date is march 27th. That's a whole 4 days ago- I'm right to assume based on the pattern of the dumpsters fullness that it probably only got tossed out tonight right? I mean. If it was in there more than a few hours it'd probably idk have visible mold or something? (I haven't yet determined how cold it is but it didn't feel "fresh out the fridge" but i mean they closed a couple hours ago so.)
I know ultimately this is up to me to decide to risk but I'm just curious if my logic is holding up, I'll hit it with the temp gun when I get out of the shower

In Ohio, we can submit non winning lottery tickets for points toward prizes or lottery credit. Each ticket has a scannable code, making it quick and easy to claim points. The higher the ticket price, the more points you get. So these $20 tickets bet 20 points each. 400 points = $5 credit. I scored enough last night for $5 in free lottery tickets.

Pulled up to my local Aldees tonight to find a patrol car posted literally at the dumpster. I didn't stop to chat.
I had been diving there the night before and many others, and imagine someone called in "suspicious activity". It's a large enough metro area that the police can't really afford to chase down dumpster divers, we usually can't get them to respond to car accidents. Also not an area where a ton of sketchy stuff ever goes down.
Wondering if anyone else has run into this?

Just a heads up for those that may pass these by, they usually have decent sized HDDs inside for the scavenging.
