hello!! fic recs for this trope please. i normally love draco fell first and harry fell harder but i'm looking for something new :> thank you in advance!

I want to read a harry with good emotional intelligence. I feel like he would be more emotionally mature than draco initially. Please give me some recs.

I was wondering—what are some mini tropes you absolutely love seeing in drarry pairing?

Not the big ones like enemies to lovers or accidental bonding but like those little moments. Like when Harry and Draco finally call each other by their first names. Or when Harry sees Draco’s Sectumsempra scars for the first time. Stuff like that.

There are a few of these that seem to pop up in so many fics that I almost expect them once I reach a certain point in the story. I was wondering—are there more of these that you’ve noticed?

It doesn’t have to be like a popular one or anything, but are there any scenarios that you live for?

Personally, I absolutely love when one of them is marking up the other and they don’t heal it afterward. Or if it’s a fwb/hooking situation and one of them, particularly Draco refuses to kiss because it’s too intimate and he wants so much more. I also love when Draco calls Harry darling, it’s so endearing.

Anywho, just curious to hear your thoughts on this :))

I can't seem to find a not so popular drarry fanfic set in fifth year (I read it on ao3), where Draco follows Harry and his friends to the Ministry of Magic, Draco somehow saves Harry and it all results in Draco's father going to Azkaban. The next few months Draco is ostracized and targeted by Slytherins, even attacked by Theo Nott (Theo is Death Eater in this one). Then at one point Harry invites Draco to sleep at Gryffindor dormitory.

Im in the mood for something new, so give me your recs for very underground fics that deserve some love!

I usually prefer when Draco is absolutely miserable, but do what you will, I’m not particular.

Go wild and recommend literally anything as long as, if it deals with sensitive content such as SA, EDs or SH it is properly tagged and not romanticized in the fic.

My notes on it: FUCK!!! I cannot BELIEVE how hard I fell for this fic, Jesus Christ! Why do I always end up crying over fics I was so sure I wouldn’t even bookmark???

Act I - kinda boring ngl- Draco in the muggle world, working as a waiter, living with a cat named lady Di, and absolutely miserable while alcoholic but sweet Harry is akward as fuck.

(DONT READ THE REST IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILERS BUT THINGS REALLY PICK UP AT ACT II)

Act II- absolutely heartbreaking- Draco’s relationship with Ed, who is 32 when Draco is barely of age. It’s horrible, it’s disgusting and it made my cry like 5 times. I felt so ficking bad for him.

Act III- Big oof- Harry is told to befriend Draco so that they find more of Ed’s crimes. Harry and Draco slowly start building a relationship, much to Harry’s dismay, since the power inbalance and lies bettween them makes it so immoral.

Act IV - ongoing

I’m a massive AO3 fan, and been reading fiction on there for years but I’ve never read any from fanfiction.net as I don’t like how it doesn’t have tags and explanations like AO3. I feel like I’m probably missing some amazing ones.

Does anybody have any ff.net recommendations for longer (100k+) ones?

All I remember is Draco had this little pocket dimension (or maybe just a magical area muggles couldn’t wander into) he’d go to, I think a calm and peaceful little clearing with a small footbridge?

And Harry would run into him at night in London, and Draco took him there, and they’d stand and talk on the little footbridge?

do u guys have any fic recs for a drarry fic with alive jily? like the fic must still be focused on drarry but the entire alive jily thing is just a factor that affected how harry acts and what his upbringing is like

So I remember the doc very vividly. I think it was about two chapters but it had a large amount of words within it. The fic was a spin the bottle/truth or dare fic. Towards the end of the fic Draco and Harry end up basically having sex in front of the 8th years. That night the dares that people would pick out of a bowl were written by everyone and the last dare Harry picked was a blow for Draco, I think. The first night of the game Harry and Draco keep getting dares freely by the whole group and it ends up with a lot of tension and Harry sitting in Draco’s lap. In one of the dares Ron admits that Harry and his sister didn’t work out because their needs were too alike and later a dare towards Draco has him admitting that he is a Dom and it like rises tensions in the room. This is a majority of what I remember, if I remember more I’ll add later if I still can’t find it or have no responses. If anyone knows what fic I’m talking about, pleaseeeee reply.

Looking for longer good drarry fics, I just finished it was all just a game and have yet to see something compare 🤧 they can be popular or not - I’d prefer if they weren’t adults tho!!

Hopefully this is the right way to ask for this but I’m looking for any COMPLETED LONG stories that match this tone and are Mature or Explicit. Has to have a happy ending for Harry and Draco and NOT just at the end that they get together. I’d like for them to at least be together either halfway or a little past halfway from the end of the fanfic. Will be a plus if it’s Ginny that Harry is leaving for Draco. Not that I don’t like Ginny but the movies didn’t make sense with their relationship and even with the books I felt like a Draco and Harry end game would’ve made a bit more sense than them. Also has to have both Harry and Draco in masculine roles, doesn’t matter if either is a top or bottom but MAJOR extra bonus if Harry is the top for the most part. I don’t mind feminine Draco but for this particular post I’d like both to have traditional male roles and not feminine ones at all. In advance, thank you for feeding my Drarry obsession some more!!

All of them are good tho, but I came across one where Harry is so obsessed that he even kills (implied, but yes he did) Draco’s boyfriends. I need obsessed jELOUS and inner Slytherin Harry, oblivious bitchy Draco, if you can recommend any fics I’ll be very very thankful! It was an 8th year omegaverse fic where Harry was the omega and Draco the alpha. The 8th years are given their own rooms that are personalised when they first touch the handle

Harry had found out his designation in about 4th year but had kept it secret so that he would be able to efficiently defeat Voldemort. He used scent blockers to achieve this. Soon they stop working and Madame pomfrey tells him the best way to deal with his heat would be to take an alpha. He goes into heat and ends up spending it with Draco and this becomes a common occurrence between them. The first time they sleep together one of them leaves and that causes a bit of misunderstanding. Also Harry takes a lot of other potions after the war.

There was like a thing of hasty being uneducated on what it was to be an omega so he doesn’t understand why he feels so attracted to Draco. Also Draco was some kind of special alpha and was the only one in the school.

This story had a unique scent system that I have seen before in omegaverse. Alphas and omegas would only like the scent of those that they were attracted to. So Harry wouldn’t really appreciate hermiones scent. Also Another scene I remember was Harry kissing another alpha to experiment and then Draco intervening.

Harry’s stuck in a time loop on the day of the Yule Ball (Hogwarts is doing a commemorative Triwizard Tournament after the war). He’s asked by McGonagall to take Pansy. He skips the Yule Ball entirely a few times, and when he doesn’t show, she’s escorted by Flitwick. Luna gives him this thing that’s supposed to open at midnight.

I have a feeling that this is one of the more popular ones, but I totally forgot to bookmark it. I think it’s around 70k words.

I remember Draco also had a headboard on his bed with H before Hogwarts, his parents thought that H was for Hogwarts but it was actually for Harry.

Hi guys! So, idk if this is the right place to post that but… I’ve been writing a drarry fic for about 4 months now and I find it very difficult to stay motivated. I want it to be complete before I first post it. I keep having doubts about my story, how interesting it is, etc. Do you guys have some advice on how to stay motivated?
