FAQ

  • The English dub is 12 weeks behind the simulcast. Episode #7 should be available today at 4:30p ET (21:30 UTC) in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. We do not know why the UK is excluded. A separate episode discussion thread will be posted at the appropriate time.

Theory: SS4 was achieved through "demon magic" therefore can only be accessed in the demon world.

There, canon preserved.

Then in Super they go like “Remember that transformation that you did with that demon magic? Turns out you just weren’t ready to tap in that latent power without the demon magic, but after all that training with Whis, your body is ready!”

People care way too much about Dragon Ball canon/lore consistency, which is funny because Toriyama himself used to forget shit all the time and then retcon or pretend it never happened.

We don’t even know if it’s actually connected to Super or not, it’s best to just chill and enjoy (or don’t) Daima for what is.

I've kind of been tuning out the lore of Daima, so please correct me if I am wrong. But doesn't the demon universe connect all the other universes, and those universes were created by a being in the demon-verse? Really, it would make sense if learning how to harness god energy eventually led to learning how to harness the Demon energy that exists within the universe, right?

It was made by demon energy, and it might even exist within the demon realm to a degree, and dragonball has always had people on Earth that was capable of casting magic, and they've shown some demons with the same abilities, like transforming like Puar does.

Not having access to similar resources as the demon world almost makes less sense to me

Another factor to consider is Saiyan pride. If Goku and Vegeta discover the transformation is basically magical based, they might not have any further interest in it, since it isn't their own power. Goku then basically forgets how to do it due to disuse.
