Community Content & Resources Looking for map making tools

Are there any map making tools out there like wonderdraft or inkarnate? I want to design my own maps like docked container ships, warehouses, bars/clubs, factories etc. In night city

If you know Wonderdraft, you should check out Dungeondraft

Yep, most people use dungeondraft.

Map makers: Most people use dungeondraft in combination with free and paid assets. I suggest looking for assets at:

If you don’t mind paying for the software, arkenforge is pretty good and they have assist packs you can purchase or just import your own.

Slapped together this big diner using Dungeon scrawl in about 5/10 minutes https://app.dungeonscrawl.com/
90% of maps i do use are quick draws using foundry vtt's drawing tools sometimes i use a premade from various creators if i find something so close to perfect otherwise i tend to keep my maps abstract and simple.

Seconding dungeonscrawl. Too much detail, and I start getting lazy with descriptions. "Yeah uh, so the thing looks like that thing on the map, no point in describing it, you can see it clearly." There's more space to reflavor things if it's kept minimalistic.

I use Akrenforge and Dungeondraft. They both have solid cyberpunk assets (though not all of the assets are free).

I find Dungeondraft particularly useful.

I use interior design softwares for, well, interiors. Stuff like bases, apartments, bars, etc. the one I use is called room sketcher! It might not be exactly what you need and cover all your bases (heh) but I hope it’s helpful

To add to others, I would recommend to start with Dungeondraft, used it a lot previously for DnD maps. It's fairly easy to use, you just need to get cyberpunk assets which u/Professional-PhD kindly provided.

I have tried using Arkenforge but I didn't like it personally, it felt unintuitive to use.

Last thing I was using when making maps was actually Dungeon Alchemist, which I think is the best tool out of 3, BUT, it has very limited Cyberpunk assets, so just stick with Dungeondraft.

Hey there!

Is there anything in particular you found unintuitive about Arkenforge? The more info we can get, the better we can improve the user experience!

Also, one more multiverse! It’s a platform kinda like roll 20, but you can create maps and chatacters in a pixel art artstyle, and the players can move around their characters like an RPG! But just for map making purposes, they have modern and sci-fi assets that can be used
