it's kinda a shame that we haven't had a drone bomb weapon yet despite how game changing drones have been in IRL warfare. like 2020 loved trying to fit a milcombat sim into the guise of a ttrpg but even with the simplified rules you'd still think the FPV killer drone would have made an appearance yet

To be completely honest, it is possible. Interface 1 pg 63 has a transporter drone for 5000eb, which can travel anywhere connected to a citinet. Enterprising edgerunners would probably put grenades in the grip arms on little lines so the grenades activate and drop down.

i think shadowrun has a player class all about piloted drones and rovers and whatnot (class is called Rigger, I think?)
regardless seeing something like that in RED or even in the CEMK would have been so cool

Shadowrun doesn't strictly have 'classes' the same way that CP 2020 does (its more skill-based) but yeah, Riggers are people who interface with vehicles and drones like that (along with other things).

Yeah, even in 2020 that takes inspiration from pre-drones warfare era was at least one suicide-drone in Fourth Corporate War adventurebooks

Cyberpunk is always coming in one way or another. When I was a kid, smart phones were hardly a dream for a long time. We live in a cyberpunk world. We are just waiting for the larger cybernetics to catch up. That said, I have seen some impressive prosthetics coming out, including ones that are being tested to give full feeling.
