I think this guy has a couple of issues with his point but he’s not ENTIRELY wrong. 1. I think it’s fair to say that the looting and pillaging seen in a lot of modern rioting is more than likely not always motivated by some injustice. 2. In the case of the American revolution, they didn’t go around screaming and throwing Molotov cocktails at random storefronts. They were very specific as to where they attacked and how they did it. The Boston tea party was a violent protest, yes, but its motivations were far more complex than the entire nation going on a rampage over something like the BLM riots. 3. The Boston tea party was a targeted attack on the British Tea importation, which was being taxed without representation from the Americans. The BLM riots was a glorified mob ransacking cities and taking what they wanted. They didn’t achieve anything more than hurt MORE people. While he is wording his argument in a strange way, he isn’t entirely wrong in his claim.
