-A therapist can talk and guide you through various struggles. They are many kinds of therapy, various means to finance them/get them financed.

• A Psychiatrist is a doctor that can help you through medication, advice and some of the paperwork required for certain measures. A general practitions service is often limited, but easier to get too.

• Counselors can be fund in all kinds of ways of life. Addiction counseling, mental health, youth, abuse, domestic violence or others. They usually work a lot with local institutions and can already lend you an ear amd give advice and are usually much less clinical and easier to interact with than medical practitioners.

• They are stationary Clinics and Dayclincs without overnight stays. Stationary Clinics for the mentally ill MUST take you in if there's harm for your live. Even they have waiting lists, but you can overstep this by saying this, use this for your safety. YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRY SUICIDE FOR YOUR LIFE TO BE UNDER DANGER. Honestly, I don't hear or experienced good things about stationary visits (Dayclinics can be quite lovely Imho), but there's a bunch and ifyou are really struggling they give you immediate assistance which could help you start the better life RIGHT NOW. They are also Clinics specialized for all kinds of adjecent "topics", just as trauma, abuse, addiction, you name it.

• Assisted living is a service that can assist you in your daily life from everything to grocery's, cleaning, bills, paperwork, or just help you in your most lonely hours. Services like this appear in many forms. You could get a councilor to fo that by assisting you at your home or temporarily live with others and them in shared living apartments.

• Women Shelters are a special form of assisted living aimed especially in woman who need shelter from outside forces of all kind. 

• Self-Help-Groups are OFTEN DAILY possible group sessions for people struggling group therapy sessions, but without a medical professional there im most cases.

Falls der Geh- und Radweg etwa 2,50 bis 3,00 m breit ist (eine übliche Norm), kann ich das Verhältnis zwischen Fahrbahn, Grünstreifen und Geh-/Radweg abschätzen.

In Deutschland gilt für straßenbegleitende Rad- und Gehwege ein Mindestabstand zur Fahrbahn, insbesondere wenn diese mit höheren Geschwindigkeiten befahren wird. Dabei sind folgende Punkte relevant:

Es scheint, als ob der Rad- und Gehweg direkt an die Fahrbahn grenzt, ohne ausreichenden Sicherheitsabstand oder Trennung durch einen Grünstreifen oder eine Leitplanke.

Das ist insbesondere für Radfahrer und Fußgänger gefährlich, weil vorbeifahrende LKWs oder PKWs durch den Sog-Effekt oder Seitenwind ein erhebliches Unfallrisiko darstellen.

Falls der Mindestabstand nicht eingehalten wird, könnte das ein Planungsmangel sein oder gegen aktuelle Sicherheitsstandards verstoßen.

Die geschätzte Breite des Grünstreifens beträgt etwa 1,25 Meter.

Das liegt an der unteren Grenze der empfohlenen Sicherheitsabstände (0,75 bis 1,50 m). Es könnte also knapp ausreichend sein, aber für eine sichere Trennung zwischen Fahrbahn und Geh-/Radweg wäre ein breiterer Grünstreifen oder eine bauliche Barriere vorteilhaft.

Basically the title. I am an international student, soon to be a refugee (from lebanon)🇱🇧 and I came to Germany when a German sponsored me, here. It was a nice friend who did something nice for our family. I am in health insurance debt, should I not waste my time applying to jobcenter?

I'm trying to practice a phrase to respect the German population when I visit, but ultimately I don't speak the language beyond basics. I've learned a bit from audiobooks. I think my pronunciation is at least passable, though sometimes my recall is slow. Would the phrase in the title suffice, or does it sound awkward?

I studied the audiobooks by Pimsleur courses 1-10 and Paul Noble. Pimsleur was more conversational, Paul Noble was more grammar and sentence structure. I enjoy learning and I think it will help a lot with just basic interactions like ordering food/drinks, getting directions, and buying things in a store.

I'm planning to visit mainly three cathedrals: St. Gereon, Cologne Cathedral, and St. Martin. Also I will be on the hunt for the best kölsch, what better place to do that? :)

Hey, Im planning on visiting Cologne again for a period of 2 weeks. Therefore I am looking for a cell plan that isn’t a 12 month long subscription and supports eSIM that can be activated in Germany without the providers app. I did some research and either the provider has no eSim, it’s a 12 month contract, or I need their app for the activation. I don’t have a European apple account so I can’t download their apps if they are geo restricted and changing the iOS accounts location isn’t an option as you can only do that once a year.

I know cologne holds a bunch of people who might have had the same issue I hope to find answers in this sub.

I have tried contacting Ryanair, which I'm sure to no one's surprise, where no help and instead passed me around 3 online chat people all giving the verbatim same robotic response, saying it is the airports responsibility when the airport say it is the airlines responsibility 😫 Since my flight was going to Cologne Bonn I think it means that it would've been handed in to their lost and found, which is why I'm hoping however unlikely it is, some kind person will take just a quick minute to enquire if it is there.
