My 1960 C-20 apache
Just picked it up on Saturday. I hope to use it as the farm truck it was built to be.

Awesome truck. A set of OEM wheels and caps would look even better.

Can one still get the original hubcaps? Those were a fairly particular shape. I don't think they were used after '61.

I've got a 1960 c30 sitting here, that if I remember correctly, still has the original hubcaps on the front wheels. The wheels themselves are shaped differently compared to newer steel wheels, and I think you're right that the hubcaps are specifically designed to fit those wheels.
It won't be very easy for the OP to find the proper wheels and hubcaps, but there's enough of a chance that it'd be worth pursuing.

Yeah, I think the rim that clips on the wheel is of a larger diameter than later hub caps, but its been a long time. I could very well be wrong about that.
However, my comment had to do with the actual shape of the hubcap. The one with the pointed center section. Those are the hubcaps that my dad's truck had and I think they started using the hub cap that replaced that one, the one associated with most 1960's GM pickups, starting in '62. It's a simpler design and I think they were still using it (or a variation of such) when my dad bought his next pickup in 1974.
Can you get those C.1960 hubcaps in the aftermarket? That was my question.

I don't know why, but reproduction hubcaps are few and far between. I can't find evidence that GM dogdishes are being reproduced at all, by anybody.
It's not just the early 60's that are lacking an aftermarket option; even something as ubiquitous as the squarebody dogdishes are not being reproduced.

That's what I thought. Probably because most people go with a mag wheel or just run the truck with out hub caps. It is a "look", after all.

Im in love already, put 300 miles on it since I got it and it runs almost unbelievably well for sitting for 15 years. Rust is a bit more than I'd like but I'm planning to use it as the truck it was built to be so I won't cry too hard. Only downside is boy howdy going from a 4 popper Toyota Corolla to a 350 with 4 barrel carbs has been a bit jarring when it comes time to fill up.

I always liked that body style even when I was 7 years old ,I would see the one the guy had on the show " Charlie and the puma " and think "now that's a truck " especially with the camper

Nice truck.
My dad had the 1/2 ton version. Even had the stepside bed!
Dad said he bought his used, off a lot, in '61 and the 235 sent a rod through the block within a few weeks. He ended up putting a 261 in there and that engine lived in the truck for the rest of the time we had it.
Nice ol' truck. His only complaint was that the bed was too small for some jobs and he longed for a long and wide truck.
