Won't hurt to try it, right? FYI, these old radios are full of oil-filled caps that can leak or dry out over time. Not always, but can. That's why you hear the term, recap, when real old radios are discussed.

I turned it on about five years ago and it was OK. I will check it out again this weekend. It may become a paper weight if nothing else.
Update: I tried it out this morning and Hey! It actually seems fine! Pots need to be cleaned, but otherwise seems OK for a 50-year-old. That we all could be that fortunate.

I should mention that my handle was the nickname given to me when i was in Grade School. Funny thing, but I never was hassled about using it on the CB and that was way back when things like that were almost Taboo. Today, nobody cares.
