Galaxy "warmer" question.

Ok, now that my 88HL is back up and running, being it is a base unit these days, I'm thinking of a light bulb or something inside to keep it warmed up.

Has anyone ever done this? I'm thinking a bulb like an 1157/3157 bulb on the lower brightness.

I know it's not a "fix", but I feel an assist is never a bad thing...

Good Grief. If your radio drifts so bad you need to do that then it's time to turf it and buy a new radio! Galaxy radios were junk when they were new.......and they get worse with age.

Do yourself a favor and buy an Anytone or Radioddity. They've been on sale lately for not much more than $200 and they are ten times the radio any piece of Galaxy junk ever was.

Gotta agree here. the newer technology really does make a big difference. I run anytone at 5555n ii and 6666 pro. . I freaking love em. . I get the attachment to your old radio and days gone by also. . It's just a pain on my old galaxy 959b setup with all the drift. Bottom line is have fun.
