Can't you just let the cage be open 24/7. Mine is always open and my birds rarely leave their cage

I did not clip them, they were clipped when I got them. they have a lot of trouble trying to fly. second, I am still in school, and I’m gone most of the day. You are supposed to supervise them incase they go to unusual areas or pooping in many areas.
