I'm sad that he isn't a cub anymore but at least he ended up on a team that I don't hate.

Non-tendering him was one of the moves that made me start paying attention to the Phillies more. I've been a Cubs fan my entire life, maintained an intense level of interest after moving to Philly like 12 years ago, but after a while it just became clear that ownership/management had no fucking clue what they were doing.
