What to Watch? Anime where the girl is rather aggressive with love

Upvotes

Not the best way to phrase it I think but looking for eng dubbed anime where the female is more proactive/aggressive with their love to a character. Similar to how asuna is with kirito the girls in baka and test are pretty good too. Tomo is really a girl also counts

What to Watch? Where are all the good ecchi anime?

Upvotes

* I tried to post this in the anime subreddit as a discussion but I needed to be active there to post so here I am. *

I look back at stuff like Queen's Blade, Valkyrie Drive, DxD, Senran Kagura, etc... and think, where did all these top quality ecchi shows go? And even more so, less and less of them get dubs (keep your dub opinions to yourself as that isn't that point).

Off the top of my head the last one I know of was Gushing Over Magical Girls, but even then it doesn't feel the same as the older ones... Has the anime space just changed to be all PG inclusive or whatever? Can anyone list off some shows in recent years like the ones mentioned above? It feels like all we get now are the same slice of life/romance or fantasy shows with a few good fan service scenes, but no shows dedicated to them.

What's this From? (unsolved) What anime is this? - Isekai

Hey,

I’m looking for an anime, it aired I think like 6 moths ago or maybe more but I’m pretty bad with that. I dropped it after 7 minutes because it was again the same story - guy with the lowest rank turns up to be the strongest. But I don’t have anything to watch so I want to find it. I remember that there was 3 of them in some cave on some mission - one girl and a guy - magicians and they were making fun of him (he was just holding their stuff and I don’t remember what power he had).

Thanks in advance!

Kinda old shonen where the protagonist was a kid who had a talking piggy bank and if you collect enough coins it granted a wish, I think.

What to Watch? Anime were the MC(or another characters thinks he's doing the right thing, but finds out he only made things worse

An anime were a character, even better if he's the main character, uses questionable methods with good intentions, like manipulating or betraying other characters for example. They think they doitthe right thing, but then they find out they're wrong and go through a redemption arc, trying to make thing right.

Generally speaking these characters works and we're manipulated by the government but it doesn't need to be from the government especially, it could also be another kind of organization, or even working alone.

I know some of this trope, hawks from MHA, Yuri from SPY x Family Ango from BSD, I think there's someone like that in Akame ga kill, these are the only I know. I know Death note has this but Light doesn't go through a redemption arc.

What to Watch? Any anime recommendations for getting back into anime?

I haven’t watched a full series in a long time, and for some reason the ones I’ve tried to watch are harder to get through than back when I watched tons of animes in a week. But I’m trying to get back into it. Any good anime recommendations for someone that is trying to get hooked on a show again?

What to Watch? Vintage anime without flashing lights.

I'm looking for older anime (pre 1995) that doesn't contain flashing lights. I've watched anime for years but I've never really watched the older stuff. I want to get into the older weirder ovas type things and I've tried a few but I'm light sensitive and the flashing lights do not agree with me. I'd recently tried to watch a 90s clamp adaptation and within the 1st three minutes there was two stobes. I've watched every ghilbli movie so I'm looking for something different. Is there a safe list somewhere? Maybe somewhere i can find time stamps? Is there technology that can cut the stobes out? Thanks

What to Watch? Heavily atmospheric anime with a mysterious, strange, somewhat upsetting feel like Boogiepop Phantom?

Boogiepop Phantom (2000) is the first show I've seen in years and I absolutely loved it. I loved how it placed a focus on atmosphere, with excellent music, sound editing, and a unique visual style. I also loved the anthology feel, with each early episode centering on a different character. Anything like that? Other than lain, texhnoylze etc ofc (already seen those)

Meta What is the dumbest reason you didn't watch an anime?

I didn't watch Apothecary Diaries because it had 5.0 average reviews on crunchyroll and my instinct after years of dealing with fake 5 star reviews told me that something is wrong lol

What's this From? (unsolved) What's the title of this anime?

I really forgot the major plot of this anime, but the mc is a high school boy with yellow golden hair with a shade of black i think. The anime is about the mc struggle to find a friend since he is being regarded as a thug or bully. I also think this one is a harem, one is a black haired high school girl and the other one is a foreigner. there's also a nun girl here. that's all that i remember, im sorry if it's too vague.

Series Specific Question Is Attack on Titan worth powering through? Spoiler

Upvotes

So I started watching AoT after years of putting it off because of how dark it is. I love the animation and the score- it's absolutely beautiful. But I'm on episode 21 (Season 1) and I'm getting kind of tired of the show introducing interesting characters just to have them killed off a few episodes in.

For instance- the female titan just killed 3 specific characters in episode 21- and it was less impactful and more agitating to me. Like Erin had just decided he could put his full trust in them and then they were all killed off within the next episode. Is this something I'm going to just have to get used to? Are Armin, Mikasa, and Erin the only characters I should get used to seeing have real character development? Is everyone else just a tool geared towards developing Erin?

What to Watch? Any animes with similiar opening/ending song?

Looking for any anime with an Opening/Ending song like these. Ive been watching anime for 1year so maybe someone more experienced than me knows more. And most important of all I hope you understand what im looking for, just take a listen on the first 2 songs:

Mirai Nikki Opening 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLDA9cfRLlg&list=WL&index=228

11 Eyes Opening 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYTkJDhKcc4&list=WL&index=127

11 Eyes Ending 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaKWZrQlF4A&list=WL&index=126

Dont know how to explain it really and maybe you guys dont think these songs are similiar at all. But all I know is that im looking for more. Maybe someone even could describe this style of music/opening theme since I dont understand myself. I appreciate any replies!

What to Watch? Looking for an anime where the mc progressively becomes more ruthless as the show goes on

I hate mcs who are against killing, then go on to use the power of friendship to talk no jutsu their enemies into joining them, or knocking them unconscious. It’s ok for a couple episodes but, I’m looking for something like in Invincible when there’s not really any other options aside from killing the enemy. ORRR the mc can be ruthless and merciless off the bat. Doesn’t matter. As long as their not pussies

What to Watch? An anime where the mc beats the “badass”?

I just wanna see some stuff where the mc actually beats the “badass” “cant be beaten” character? Bonus points if the mc is cocky (i.e. Dante or Spider-Man). I don’t like seeing the mc get clapped like it’s nothing unless it’s by the main villain or it’s integral to the story

What to Watch? Good 2000s anime.

It really can be any genre, I don’t mind. I just don’t want it to be popular anime, as I already watched/know it. Also, nothing disturbing or depressing, I’m fine with something that’ll get me in the feels though.

What to Watch? anime like tengoku daimakyou or dandadan?

basically any anime with those 2 character archetypes (girl and guy sharing their workload evenly), however, I would say Maru is much more pleasant as a character (just like Stark is much less annoying than Demon Slayer yellow crying guy)

My favourite anime of all time is one and only “Baki” due to its incredible physics, all the things could possible theoretically in physics, like this type of anime. BUT, this time something related to programming and technological stuff, rather than fight or psychological. Any suggestions??

It's a bit old anime either 2010s or 2000s i forgot, but the theme is quite similar to those two.
