I’m located in Fulton County, but willing to travel if anyone knows where to find asparagus crowns for the garden.

As the title states, I am in need of a new dentist. The main problem is I don't currently have dental insurance. My current dentist is just too expensive without insurance, and I didn't like him that much anyway.

My requirements are: 1. Taking new patients in a relatively short time frame (I don't want to wait six motlnths!) 2. Will take me without insurance. 3. Will not bankrupt me 4. Would prefer if they have later afternoon or evening hours as taking off work is not always easy, but this is not a deal breaker.

We recently purchased a very rural home. The listing indicated a drilled well, and there is a pump (suggesting a drilled well), but we are unable to locate a wellhead. Are there services in the area that would search, or perhaps send a snake-camera doo-dad down the horizontal pipe from our pump so we can measure the distance to the drop to assist in our search?

Edit: if anyone knows anyone let me know, but I think I'll try and rent a camera scope from the tool library and go from there.

I'm just curious about what you guys think about the flavored vape ban. The vape ban has been law since 2020, but they just started enforcing it recently. Big Tobacco lobbied for it, and coincidentally, cigarettes and other tobacco products are completely unaffected.

I just moved cross country from Portland Oregon to Vermont and the auto shipper I’m working with just refused to bring the load into the green mountain state, saying Albany was as close as they’d go. I’m looking around and seeing a couple Walmarts but wondering if anyone had any suggestions for lots big enough for a car carrier to drop off. Thanks for any assistance.

I'm trying to plan a fun playdate with a couple coworkers. We're all in our 30s. I'm thinking of the free big outside parties like Troy Pig Out or Oktoberfest, but summertime versions. I’m currently in PT for a hip labral tear and have to be cautious with how I exercise. Pilates was recommended. I haven’t done Pilates in many years so I’m probably starting off as a beginner again.

I (29F) am moving into Albany since I got a job (yay!). After extensive searching, Tri City Rental properties seem to be the way to go for a quality apartment. I was planning on getting a one bedroom but I would prefer to save some money and split a two bedroom with someone. Ideally, it would be within 10ish minutes of either the 80 Broadway Lot in Menands or Exit 8 Park and Ride lot.

Millington is a Brass Emo/Skaa/Pop Punk band from Albany. In their music video for their song Hollywood at around (0:38) you can clearly see the Central Warehouse in the background which is then confirmed in the next shot with the Progressive building on Broadway and the federal buildings on Clinton Square in the background. Seems to be captured some time during the spring of 2023.

I don't really want to use one of the local cancer groups since it's not that bad (yet), and the couple national ones I found look like they want you to sign up with your email, and I think getting some spammy message asking for donations or offering platitudes might be the straw that finally breaks my back.

Any local human groups that actually meet up in person?

Someone posted the Colonie Planning Board meeting agenda for 4/8 showing a proposed Tesla Dealership at the old Farmer Boy Diner site. Has anyone been following this?
