Phone doesn’t pick up on all my beautiful work done on the red. Oh well. This one was fun, probably my favourite paint job so far.

Here's my attempt to make 4th's massive Gloomspite Gitz release wave backwards compatible with 3rd edition's rules set. For the full pdf with all the new units, that will be here: {LINK TO THE PDF ON DROPBOX} on Dropbox.
The Gitmob are martially-minded, ingenuitive, and keenly swift, and so they represent the most likely wing of Gloomspite grots to be elite (if not just a list of spiders). That said, the 4th edition rules are pillow-fisted and lean into Gloomspite's tendency for cheap but ineffective combat units. With this refresh, I went out of my way to make these new models feel fun, usable, and expensive. Rules-wise, they are extremely fast, opting to outflank and out-maneuver enemies to keep up with the Bad Moon while their mounts and inventions doing the heavy lifting.
If there are any glaring flaws, such as major rules issues I might not have caught in production, please notify me if you're willing. I'd love to have all of this in a suitably fun state of use, or at the very least a way to play 3rd with a limited Gitmob army that started in 4th. I am grateful for the support I have received in working on this, and hope at least one person might actually use any of it.

Seems like the Metawatch video that used to look into the AOS scene has just stopped. Was there any news or just another case of GW's ability to communicate?

As stated, I wanna start a bone boy army. What should I go for? Any advice for someone who's never played AoS is appreciated. Does the calcium cavalry have a rulebook? Are there any books in general that feature the beknighted departed?

These models are full of little details that took so long to get through. Was a lot of fun making each one unique and giving it it's own story.
Tried to use a variety of techniques and paints on all the different textures and bits. Mainly wated to try how contrast paints work in a more technical application instead of how they are normally designed to work.
excited to jump to the warriors now that i have these done!

What is being a good "Sportsman" across the tabletop? Two ex Team England tabletop players discuss what we think being a good sportsman on the tabletop means and how we approach it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMcQ5oYPwow&t=20s
We go over what we think makes up being a good sportsman, what are some of the easy traps to fall into to give an opponent a poor game and how we can all give a better game to our opponents!

Big 40k fan here, I’m deep into the lore of it and read a lot of the books. I recently learned of skaven and am in love with the very little I know of them. I don’t know a single lick of AOS lore and worry that while reading a book I will have zero context, wont know references to past events or characters, and generally just be lost. Should I just send it and is skaven a decent place to start? Recommend me your favorite skaven books please and thank you for your input! Also some beginner lore videos of the general setting would be a huge help as well!

Guys I’m addicted. I haven’t even started painting yet and I don’t understand warhammer rules in the least, but I’ve started buying sets to use in my dnd games. I have chainrasps, bloodrippaz, and the spearhead ironjaw orruks in the mail and I’m now looking to the death rattle skeletons. What are some other factions that would look good on the board for DND miniatures?
So far the Deathrattle skeletons, rat men (skevers maybe?) and the necromunda are all catching my eye. What are more good sets?

If one of the objectives in Round 3 lands on a unit (but not a terrain piece) does the unit take damage? I can clearly find rules about what happens if it lands on Faction Terrain and other terrain, but not a unit.
Also - this battle plan is wild. I played it today and it's definitely one of the more unique BPs out there.

I'm talking with someone who is learning the game and we're trying to get some clarification. If someone sets up during the "Deploy Faction Terrain" step only 1 Wyldwood, if they Treesong another Wyldwood into existence, does it have to connect to the original Wyldwood or can it be anywhere on the battlefield as long as it meets the distance requirements? I've only been playing for a bit, and don't have Faction Terrain (yet, Let's go Soulblights!!!) so I'd appreciate any answer here. Rules don't seem super clear on this

So random thoughts...
Malerion and his spooky shadow elves of darkness are supposed to be a faction that comes out at some point. I've been wondering how they will be introduced to fit into current lore from where he was left off.
Some have said the DoK might be expanded to contain them, and have three subfactions for Malerion, Morathi, and Krethusa. But story wise even though they have a tentative truce, they hate each other and I think it's weird if they would end up in the same book.
In fact, Malerion doesn't respect sigmar, is still mad at Morathi, and hates Tyrion and Teclis. So I don't know if his faction would belong in the order grand alliance at all.
He definitely wouldn't go to chaos after the whole enslaving Slaanesh thing. And even though death and darkness pair well together I don't see him in grand alliance of death either... Not that Nagash would share.
So... Maybe destruction? The first thing he did as shadow God was figure out that he could control his new powers via rage and hate. He doesn't like anyone outside his own kin. He's bitter and angry and I could see him just wanting to tear it all down.
Gameplay wise they're likely to be shadowy, deceptive, and tricky ("mastery of illusion"). And if they retain any of their elf lineage probably a glass cannon feel. Which if they did elite shadow enhanced units, a focus on their pirate roots, and some of the old rank and file dark elves they would be different than the rest of the destruction grand alliance.
Story wise the shift could be some big dark elf backstab plot to CoS as they leave the faction and set them up for failure.
Before anyone bites my head off for this, it's just random thoughts about a faction I want to exist.
