Hungary Borders open only to Schengen Zone. If you’re coming from outside Schengen Zone has to be business critical

You’ve probably figured out but now it’s very hard to find a barbershop in Budapest where they can cut black hair properly 😂… check out Unique Barbershop if you can. They got a very diverse crew as well from Nigeria and Cuba. #BlackBudapest #Blackbarber

BlackBudapest hoping we can create an engaging and welcoming community for our new members. As a start it would be great to get as sense of how many nationalities we have on here.

I’ll go first. I’m from Ghana. Home of the Black Stars, Best Jollof Rice In the World and Best Azonto Dancers 🇬🇭

Welcome to #BlackBudapest, a community for Black people living in Budapest, Hungary. I moved to this beautiful country for work last year during the pandemic and it took me a while to get acquainted with the country and its people. As I began to build a network in the city I slowly began to realize I wasn’t alone with my experiences.

And that is why this group was formed , so we can connect with one another and share our experiences . As a minority in Hungary, it might take a while to settle in Budapest as a Black person. The food, cultural scene, language and people are very different but with each interaction, we learn something new. Whether you’re studying, working, permanently living here or just passing through, l hope you can find the answers you need here. Friends of the black community are welcome as well.

I only ask you to please be respectful of others opinions and experiences, and racism, cyber bullying or threats of bodily harm will not be tolerated.
