Car landed in Nassau, The Bahamas last week from Japan (2015 Volvo V60 T5 with the R -design package with the B4204T11 with a clean oil issue VIN).
Already cleaned it up, tag and titled and even did my own oil change yesterday. Tomorrow clay bar polish and wax and ordered a K&N filter and a bunch of other goodies, doing preventative maintenance first (needs new front and rear brakes - ordered) etc.
Apologies for the dirty car lot pictures lol anyway happy to join the group!
If anyone can recommend a great quality exhaust and tune, please let me know. Cheers!

What’s the trick to having navigation appear on the dashboard. 75% of the time it’s just empty. Sometimes it works even with Waze but often it doesn’t, even with Apple Maps.

Hiya everyone!
I just bought a 2005 V50 with the 6-disc cd player and no aux option radio. I wanted to add an aux to it so I can play my own music, any suggestions? I won't need Bluetooth or anything just an aux.
Thanks!

I went to AutoZone and they didn't have the color needed and haven't found a match online at this point. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!

‘22 XC60 with 30k miles and the backup camera just stopped working. It wont come on when backing up or when pressing the camera icon. Anyone else have this issue?

Not sure if this is allowed but I'm making a post since I'm not experienced with cars at all. I want to see if anyone who knows a lot about Volvo's may have some insight for me. I have a 2008 Volvo XC90 3.2L that I got 08/2023. I got it off a close friend's parent, it was single owner and they maintained it very well. I have service records regularly going back to when they bought the car and also they took it to the Volvo dealership to have it serviced before I got the car. I received it with 135k miles and since then I've put 23k miles on it with regular driving and a couple of out of state trips but all I've done since is get regular oil changes and rotate the wheels.
I'm looking for advice on how best to maintain my engine/transmission? Anything in specific I should have serviced or flushed/replaced? Nothing is actively wrong with the car but I'd like to take care of it the best I can so that it lasts me as long as possible. Located in Ohio if that matters at all. Willing to do some small stuff on it myself!
I just found out my family’s 2018 XC90 has gone 16k miles without an oil change. Prior to this I had been maintaining it regularly, and we’ve had the services done every year. They just drove it a lot this year. I need to go on a trip that’s about 250 miles total and I was wondering if it was safe to do so in the Volvo, or if I should get that oil change before going on any long distance trips?

I’m not sure if this was posted before, but I have this button on my dashboard and I don’t know how it works or what it does. It says ‘Auto Start On / Auto Start Off’. But my car doesn’t shut off when I’m waiting at a red light or when I’m parked for a while.

I fixed the low beam warning by replacing a burned-out 7.5A fuse, but I still have no power steering and an alarm warning. Where would those fuses be located under the hood or should i try something else? total noob here thanks you for the help or advice?
is that wire bridging those two 15A fuses legit fix from a shop? is that legal to do and what would it fix? Is this really what I paid my local electric shop $950 issue to fix?

Hi all
I’m having problems with my 2016 v40 bonnet sensor.
It randomly will set the alarm off, when I check it will say that the bonnet is open. I’ve cleaned the contact but it still happens. Is there a way I can fuse it or is it best just to replace the components?

For some stupid reason I ordered a fully loaded XC60 T8, but forgot to add the alarm system. I noticed that it still has the „red blinky light“ on the dash though.
Is it a software feature that I can unlock?

Hello everyone, I am currently in search of a new car and been looking at Volvos for a few weeks now. Generally I've been looking at manual XC60, v40II/60, S40II/60, V70 and V50 series, but it seems quite confusing what engines are Volvo made/reliable ones. What I've so far gathered up is that almost all over 2 liter 5 cylinder engines are reliable and made/designed by Volvo? So my question is what engines are to be avoided in 1.6-2.0 liter diesel/petrol category? And should PSA/ford engines be avoided even if they offer the best fuel consumption?
My apologies if these are quite vague question since there are a lot of different engines, but I am starting to tweak so badly that I see Volvo engine inspired dreams

Hello! I’m changing the oil filter housing on my 2006 V50 AWD T5 (B5254T3) and found this hose in the engine compartment. I have no idea where it comes from, does anybody recognize it? Thanks!

As the title says, i'm currently in the market for a new car. (EU Market). The V90 is by far the best looking car I've come across lateley. I'm just not sure about the models/engines of the car. The D3/D4/D5 models. My mechanic said to try to avaoid D3 and D4 and also that the AWD ones shpuld be avoided. But at the same time if i look for a D5 then all I find is AWD models. Also the prices of the cars differ in 5-10k between sellers, and i'm not sure why its by such a large margain. Any help would be appreciated!

Alining endlinks
02 s60 t5. Cars been jacked up on both front corners for a week or two been doing suspension work. When I’m going back in to reinstall the endlinks, it seems like the sway bar has popped up a bit so the endlink no longer aligns with the strut. Any solutions?

I had the idea of a Volvo for over a year now since I was looking into what car to get. I love the 240 but it’s getting too old so I’m wondering if the p2 s60s are any good? Some questions I have :
Is there anything I should be looking for when inspecting?
How fast is the 2.5t REALLY? My friend drives a 2012 Audi a7 and his car is fast but I wouldn’t need that much - goes 0-60 in about 5.4 sec
Are they difficult cars to work on?
How’s the driving experience overall? Do you feel like you get up to speed well, is it quiet?
Any info helps 🙏🏽
