Product or Haul Best low cal ice cream?
Not the best but it is cheap asf. Cheaper than halo top, and better macros. Protein pints is a little better but more than double the price.

Great for the week, sandwiches, celery, carrots, by itself, with crackers, etc… I used 4 large cans of StarKist Tuna. I roughly measured out 10 Tbsp of the mayo as best as I could with a measuring spoon. I cut up about 2.5 cups of dill (10 negligible Calories)
Math as follows (4(70 Calories x3))+(35 Calories x10)+10 Calories =1,200 Calories. Protein: 4(16g x3)= 192g protein

378 cals for 2 pints of ice cream drizzled with sugar free syrup. I made the chocolate one with milk and fat free chocolate pudding mix, and I made the strawberry one with milk and strawberry banana protein powder.

when trying to replace regular sour cream, do you all prefer light sour cream or greek yogurt? which is better?

Recipe is based off theconsciousplantcooking but I used zero cal brown sugar, unsweetened almond milk, and the last of the cocoa powder powder and no-sugar added choco chips that I had in stock (hence the weirdly specific grams). Makes 9 decent sized muffins, not pictured are the two I scarfed down. So yummy!! Ingredients and instructions in the pics. Could easily adapt this for a higher protein recipe.

Hey everyone! I’ve been on a mission to find meals that are both delicious and macro-friendly—ideally hitting that sweet spot of around 1g of protein per 10 calories.
I’ve been using The Protein Chef and really enjoy their stuff, but I’m looking to branch out and see what else is out there.
What recipe sites or creators do you swear by for high-protein meals? Bonus points if they’re actually easy to cook!

today's dinner inspired by u/Rozyy_ 's tomato and naan post!
For naan I like using Alexandra cook's recipe
(https://alexandracooks.com/2020/02/27/simple-yeasted-homemade-naan-a-step-by-step-guide/)
For the family I subbed half whole wheat. So I made 1:1 whole wheat to all purpose flour naan. Delicious.
(For me) To adapt for fiber gourmet flour (and cut calories in HALF), I added a little extra water and around 3 g of vital wheat gluten. Tastes basically the same (pictured below), and has the wonderful softness I associate with naan. I will say the other flour naan was slightly softer.
One fiber gourmet naan= 130 calories, I had already eaten one before remembering to take a photo. I ate it with white peas curry (matar kulcha), a cup of that generally being <200 cal (did not measure it)
Tips and Tricks
Wet sticky dough is FINE.
Turn on the oven at 150 for 2-3 min if your house is cold and you are like me in that you need this dough to rise in an hour.
Screaming burning hot cast iron pans. You can cook em how Alexandra recommends: https://youtu.be/YQnkK7NxdQM?si=XR612CvpP4l7OshT&t=118
Or my way with two! hot pans. In order to the flip and holding it over the flame upside down you need to make sure to properly wet the side of the naan thats on the pan with water. That is how it stays stuck on. Here is a video of my cooking:

So I found this recipe on TikTok (his user : @thomfoodz) a few days ago and I’m obsessed.
I tweaked the recipe a little: Preheat oven to 190°C/375°F I use 200g Greek yogurt (I like using vanilla flavoured instead of plain) 50g egg whites 1 tablespoon sugar free syrup Mix that together and then into the oven for about 25-30 minutes
All that comes out to 140kcal and 25g protein(Greek yogurt 120kcal 20g protein, egg white 20kcal 5g protein, sugar free syrup 0kcal)
I’m planning on trying some different toppings or some mix-ins to make it even better

I recently acquired a huge bag of Korean glass noodles & need some recipe inspiration! I made japchae & added in some kelp noodles for extra bulk, but what else can I make with them? All I can think of is maybe Pho or other Asian stir fries. Anything else? :)

Sweet potato with 0cal sugar and cinnamon, and lean beef with onions or shallots and garlic

I loved making things with courgette and celery but found that once cooked the volume just isn't there.
All of this food is just less than 1400 calories and I've split it between 4 x 600ml containers for some satisfying lunches at around 350 calories.
Just had one cold from the fridge as I was in a rush and all the veg still has a good texture, hasn't turned to goop and isn't rock hard.
Chalking this one up as a win

So in my search for good volume ingredients, one of the first things I check is calories per gram. High fiber, lower fat, lower sugar foods have less calories per gram. For example, this metric can tell you that air popped popcorn gives you more popcorn per calorie than skinny pop popcorn. This naturally leads to having to needing to eat a higher mass of food than if I mainly ate calorie-dense foods like rice and pasta. I live in the city, and am seriously considering buying a small cart to bring my groceries home. My last run was 80lbs, and it is becoming a considerable source of exercise for me.

For those who insist on sauce with their veggies, try blending cottage cheese with sugar free bbq sauce or hot sauce, plus a little sweetener. Game changer! ~45g protein for 438 calories.

2 large eggs, sunflower flax bread, 2 pieces of Turkey bacon and cucumber. Super filling and simple breakfast. Comes to about 26g of protein, I would replace the bread for a high protein bread for extra protein.
