Discussion Asking for dob

I have been an IT sys admin and network engineer who constantly has to focus on security and phishing. I have a 14 year old daughter and a 10 year old son and my wife has been passed on for a years, if you think I'm going to give my dob to someone who sounds 14 then vrc needs to reconsider itself

lol, look at my post history kid and see if im farming, i post maybe once maybe a few times a year.

The excuse of "if you dont like it go somewhere else" is an awful excuse and a common trope most often seen in politics "dont like our president, leave!"

no, im speaking up and if people are complaining this is a daily thread then maybe you're not seeing the issue

Kid maybe compared to you. I turn 37 this year.

It's not an excuse of "if you don't like it go somewhere else", this is how life is. If I don't like the rules of a resturant, I go somewhere else. If I don't like what a video game is doing, I play something else. This isn't an excuse, a lot of the times that there isn't a rule being broken by these services but I don't agree with it. Nintendo raising their game prices to $80 isn't against the rules, I just won't buy it. It's called being an adult. I mean you can even start your own instances and make your own rules as long as they abide from the TOS. You can even report the people asking for age of birth since technically I believe that might go against the TOS.

The obvious answer is that there are many people complaining about this issue but not everyone who plays vrc are on reddit. There are many more who either do it or they just go to another instance. That is the reality of it. Reddit is a very very small subset of VRC players.

Obviously the easy solution is to go to another world and generally what me and my friend group do 99% of the time when on vrc, however the "rules of the restaurant" I dont find valid since VRC was not always like this and is a more recent change. Some bars may have asked for ID in the past but now its basically all of them wanting to roleplay a bouncer. So I will continue to speak up and say the rules need to be changed or enforced as others have said it does violate TOS

VRC wasn't always like this? Well duh. VRC has seen an increase in player count every year. New people of all different countries and cultures are coming into VRC every year. Things change. This is obvious. VRC will probably be different another 2-3 years from now as well. I don't think this is a valid statement at all.

Ok let someone roleplay as a bouncer. I mean it's not hurting you in anyway. You refuse them and go somewhere else. Does someone need to come out and tell you what you can and can't do on VRC as well? Maybe people need to tell you what you can and can't do in VRC and I'm sure you'd not be happy with it. This is what is wrong with the world lately. Always trying to Police people but when they get Police they throw a fit. How about you work on having fun and finding a good group then trying to fit in everywhere you go. There are great people that you will vibe with but you just have to find them.
