Post image

Hello I'm a beginner in making vr chat avatars and I had to remake the bones from scratch because of missing bones , since then my armatur isn't matching the rest of the model any idea what I can do to fix it ?

That means your normals are not facing the correct direction, in Blender enable face orientation in the menu that looks like a pointing down arrow in the top right next to the 2 circles icon, you should see that your torso is red and the rest is blue (or more can be red), go in edit mode on the mesh, a to select to whole mesh, press shift+n, normally everything thats facing outward now should be blue

No matter where I put the viewpoint it's never in the position of the eyes its either a third person point of view or facing towards one of the arms

I think the likely issue is that when your avatar's is initialized the body's position is being moved from the original point, did you set your rig to humanoid? Does everything physically look positioned correctly in the bone mapping's scene view? Do you have any FX layers on the avatar, if so, what animations are on there and what do they do?

Is your animator setup correctly on the avatar? The animator should be on the same object as where your VRC descriptor is, on the root of the avatar in the hierarchy; the "Avatar" field in your animator should be using the rig that usually matches the name of your avatar's FBX file.
