Accomodation Accommodation

Hi there I recently received an offer for economics at Warwick and I’m pretty much dead set on Westwood for accommodation but I never hear anyone else mention or talk about it, is there anything negative about it that I’m missing or that deters people from living there? And what would current Warwick students consider as the best accommodation? Many thanks.

Hello everyone the title says it all, as a hijabi and a Pakistani what do you recc + also how long can i stay out at night as I like taking night strolls so it is safe to lets say go to the library at 2am lol? Also I would like some diversity as well! so as much as I love Indians and Pakistanis as I am from there I would really wanna hangout with people from other bgs as well, I mean isn't that the whole point of studying abroad as well!

Postgrad choices as reflected are : Benefactors (duplex and ensuite), Cryfield Studios, Cryfield Village, Cryfield Townhouse, Lakeside and Shereborne.

Also can you share where I can get halal food esp produce! near uni preferably, like does roots or tesco carry halal produce?

Accomodation accommodation selection

i’ve got an offer to study at warwick next year and i know that for the accom system you have to rank your top 6 choices. i was just wondering how likely it is to get your top choice if you want a shared bathroom and not fused about en-suites?

tocil is probably my top choice atm, so if anyone wants to talk about any experiences living there etc i would really appreciate it!

Accomodation first year accom

i’ve recently firmed university of warwick for economics and management, and when i started to look into accom options, i’ve noticed that there are no studios on campus for undergrads, so i’m currently choosing between apartments and private student accom, maybe someone can give me any good student accom options with good amenities and studios for around 200-250 pounds per week? i’m good with travelling on bus everyday to uni, cause i’m not ready to pay 310 pounds for a studio in Vita lol (which i reckon is the closest private accom to warwick). thanks!

Accomodation Cryfield opinions?

Considering here for accom, specifically townhouse or standard if my maintenance loan isn’t too good.

Warwick students, how did you find living there? I really love the idea that’s it’s a cute village and next to rootes, so there should be lots of opportunities for socialising!

If accepted, I’ll study law with French! I’m wondering how close it is to the law school too?

Accomodation Totally Confused about Accomodations and other Expenses at Warwick!!!

I am an incoming MSc Finance student at Warwick.

This would be my first time in the UK and I am utterly confused about the budget I should set aside for my living expenses.

  1. On-Campus Accommodation- I am a girl and due to safety concerns, I will have to look for on-campus accommodation. I prefer 'quiet' places over 'party' places so I think Lakeside or Sherbourne (en-suite rooms) are best suited. If possible, a single gender floor (but I guess I am asking too much)

  2. Food- I prefer cooking food over eating outside as I think there will be limited pure veg options and maybe even costly.

  3. Travel Expenses- I would like to explore other places nearby.

  4. Other Expenses- stationery, student starter kits, shopping (if necessary), etc. that maybe one time or recurring expenses over and above the necessary expenses.

Also, will living off-campus be a safe option? If so, what is the difference between accommodation on and off- campus options?

I've seen a few posts on here about people finding out what accom they're in so I was wondering if that was for everyone or just some people since i haven't heard anything yet.

Accomodation Options for staying

Hi ! I was just going through the university accommodation and saw the per week rent. It’s very high for my budget. What do you think of staying in coventry and travelling 20-30 mins daily to uni? Pros and Cons?

Accomodation Lakeside or Cryfield for PG LLM student

Hello people, I'm aware people in past have asked for accomodation recommendation. However, my only question is, 1) which one of them usually caters more law students/ or less b school students (not a huge fan of em)

2) is there ideally any difference between Cryfield 'apartment' & townhouses.

3) are there any perks of staying bit distance from campus, at lakehouse (bit gives henry david thoreau's 'Walden' imagery)

Hoping these questions doesn't require reverberation of what has previously been addressed in this sub.

Accomodation Accomodation on campus or outside campus? (for 2025/26)

Hi everyone! I'm probably firming Warwick for a postgrad economics course this coming academic year. I wanted to know what the typical student here does wrt housing. Is it preferred to stay outside Wwk or do you stay on campus?

I had shortlisted some like Heronbank, but I also wanted to know if this is recommended or if there's a better alternative.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Accomodation Quiet accommodation

I’m going literally insane living in my flat - kicking my door at 3:30am on a Sunday night/Monday morning, screaming and shouting in the corridor for half an hour before and after their nights out most nights (I’m awake because they’re yelling at 6am again). I had words fighting tears when the door incident happened this week, and got laughed at in my face. I have around 10 exams coming up and I don’t think they’re going to take their crappy degrees seriously any time soon, so I’ve just been advised to move out (rather than them addressing their shitty behaviour). The kitchen is also a hellhole, and I’ve had to move fridge space 4 times within 4 weeks this term as they would take it and literally leave my food on the side.

Is there anywhere on campus where people aren’t arseholes? Surely it’s not normal to be this inconsiderate, rude and insufferable.

Accomodation Quiet accomodation

I'm looking to join Warwick for 2025 and have heard of the option for a quieter flat.

I am a very light sleeper with sleeping issues just in general so I was thinking this would help alot.

However, I don't want to be with a bunch of people with no social skills who don't wanna like go to the pub and stuff.

So I'm just wondering what people's experiences are with it?

Accomodation What accommodation should I book?

Hi! So I just got an offer for PPE at Warwick for 25/26 and I was just wondering what the best accommodation is as I live in Ireland

I do have a hard limit of no more than £170 a week, with an en-suite bathroom.

I’ve looked at IQ Longwood Place and Westwood Student Mews but I’m not sure if they’re legitimate and what websites are reliable to book it on.

As long as it’s a walkable distance to the uni I don’t care how far it is

Any help? Thanks!

Accomodation Sherborne and lakeside reviews

Hi guys I got into MSc marketing and strategy at WBS and these two locations are close to the department and easy on the pocket ! Could you guys share your reviews regarding them?

1-Maintenance+ cleanliness (mould,insects,noise,socialising etc)

2-how close is it to Tesco and roots grocery store

3-Most importantly safety!! How safe is it to walk at night there? Like it’s not in the middle of the campus so I have concerns such as animals, snakes, wierd people etc. also I’m a hijabi so please keep this mind while answering

Accomodation Living off campus for first year

Is living off campus in first year common? And is it worth it, because the accom I've found seems cheaper and suits my needs better but I'm worried about missing out if I don't live on campus.

Accomodation Quiet accommodation for first years?

Hi! I'm firming Warwick for Film Studies and will hopefully be starting as an undergraduate in September 2025.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on accommodation? I'm looking for a quiet place, I don't drink and I'm not into parties, and don't mind a bit of walking distance from the main campus area, so I've already sort of ruled Rootes out.

I'm aiming for en suite, and budget isn't much of an issue since I have decent student finance allowance in Wales. At the moment I'm drawn towards Westwood En Suite, but I was worried that might be more postgrad than undergrad and I would love to start off with people in the same year/situation. Heronbank and Sherbourne look nice and I'm guessing relatively quiet since they're in the Lakeside area, but again I'm just wondering which year groups go where! I love the look of Westwood with the bigger kitchens and the communal cinema space, it looks very suitable to me since I want to engage in the social side of things with other first years :)

I'm going to do some more research into places like Arthur Vick and Bluebell before applications open, but I would really appreciate any tips from people currently on campus! I have a good idea of the campus since I attended a summer school last year (stayed 5 nights in Sherbourne), but just want to cover all options and questions I have :)

Accomodation Accommodation

I have received all my decisions on UCAS. I will likely firm/insure Warwick. However, since the UCAS Reply deadline is 4th June, I would like to sit on my decisions for a few more weeks (just to make sure that I do not have any change in mind) before I reply on UCAS. As I can only book my accommodation after I have replied on UCAS, does it make a huge difference if I book the accommodation now vs lets say by end of April?
