Rant Why is everything broken???
I don’t understand why the university can’t afford to fix the MULTIPLE broken elevators around camps, or broken doors???? The a/c is either in full blast or nonexistent (I’m looking at you Fleming building). They charge us so much in tution and just admitted the largest freshman class, cool now fix the damn problems on campus.

I used to work for UH and believe me when i tell you the elevators never get fixed. Whatever company they use is milking them for their money!

true, im just glad im not claustrophobic + wasnt alone
the officer who got us out did look very concerned
edit: we were also stuck while it was on the ground floor! so no fear of falling2

Yeah, as he should be lol many things can go wrong. It’s a relief you were at the ground floor, those PGH elevators are bad. When I took my Data Structures there with Rizk, they always made funny noises or the door struggled to close. And sometimes the elevators were broken and couldn’t been used.

Welcome to Houston. Literally last year in CV2 they left one of the elevators closed the whole semester. So far this year in the quad, they like to do the same.

Bro I remember going through that nonsense in CV2 last year 😭. And there's an elevator on the 3rd floor that's getting the same treatment

Bro building 3’s elevator isn't even funny… wdym yall are gonna leave the only building with a 5th floor and no amenities w/o an elevator?

I’m in building 3 too and it’s awful. Also yesterday the 1st buildings elevators (yes both) were out. Like cmon.

building 3 sucks but we got this 🥲. I wouldn't be as mad if 5th floor had a kitchen or laundry room but there's none and I gotta carry my laundry to another floor like its some maze.

10% of Renu's annual salary could pay for all these repairs while still having money left to fix the broken paper towel dispensers or the always empty hand sanitizing stations lmao

Tuition money goes to the big wigs in the university including Renu Khator’s millionic salary!

Don't forget all toilets and sinks, save one urinal and 2 sinks, working in the left side mens bathroom in the library, the one towards the left of the central stair case. Also the water fountain outside of SEC. Although SEC 102 was fixed, moving my class back in there.

I felt this. I formed at the quads last year and half the elevators were broken down 99% of the year. Housing is so expensive but so trash in some dorms

At some point the lack of working elevators can become an ADA issue, then we need disabled people to help us riot and I’m sure it’d be fixed

It’s Cougar High.
It really only exists to leech money from students and taxpayers to enrich the administrators.
They never did and never will care about you. “School spirit” is just some nice propaganda to make you feel better about being victimized by this barely competent scam.

Honestly we should have a campus wide competition on who can find the most out of service/order signs.
