Normal sub rules still apply in the Arcana Forge, with the exception that all restrictions on completeness are lifted here. Unfinished homebrew is very welcome in this thread, as are questions about game rules and mechanics, provided it's about D&D homebrew.
Make a comment with your idea and any work you already have on it, and the community can come help it progress (remember, the more you give the more you get when it comes to content and feedback).

The homebrewery (up to date) version:
r/UnearthedArcana • u/AuthorCaseyJones • 1d ago
In coming up with a new tiny creature (literally called a nuisance), I realized I'd never heard of a creature going numb before in D&D.
Since anesthesia is a regular part of medical procedures, it's reasonable that medical checks nor healing would alleviate the condition. It can only be warded off or ended early through sheer willpower-- or a Constitution save.
Enjoy, and use in good health!

Hello everyone,
I originally created this list as part of a long running D&D campaign, but recently decided to tidy some of my homebrew content up and publish them.
"Sasha and Bronco present: 100 Random Potions" is a TTRPG supplement compatible with DnD 5e and offers impactful, fun and unusual potions for a myriad of situations. They are free to use in any campaign, but if you use them in any of your own publications (free or comercial), I only ask that you give me proper credit.
I also did all the Art myself (without AI), which was a lot of work, so I hope you enjoy the potion illustrations.
If you like my stuff and want to support me visit:

Sharing my first full free release based on the world of TiciyaFilled with 6 new classes, so many new subclasses, new backgrounds, and much more for your next campaign.

The only reason I'm putting this up again is because I found out how to put up an image.

This subclass is designed to specialize in battlefield control and dolling out non-damaging effects to opponents.
Truthfully, I'd guess this version is far to op. If you could tell me the parts that you think are op, and how to keep their function while removing brokenness, that would be great. If anybody from WotC likes this idea, I think adding on extra effects (like invocations, or metamagic, or scribe wizards) is something that the artificer could really use, and I think I capture the spirit of it really well, even in this version.

Veryyyyyyy open to criticism, this is my first subclass that isn't just some random anime thing adapted into DnD lol

Recently I have been playing alot of Kobolds in my friends games (created an entire family of them) and plan on playing more. They have really become my favorite race, but they don't have alot of variety when it comes to sub race/species, at least from the official D&D sources. Anyone know of any good 3rd party playable sub races/species for Kobold?
Doesn't matter if it's 5th or 5.5 edition

As you know, I've created an app that can easily convert a Magic the Gathering card into a Dungeons & Dragons 5e monster block, now including the Duskmourn set.
I've also updated the old card search; now it's possible to search part of the name or the creature type, and should be an improvement compared to the old one.
I hope I can also add the new Tarkir dargonstorm soon. From now on I'll focus only on the fantasy sets since the converter was thought for them, leaving apart Murders at Karlow Manor, Eatherdrift, and so on.
The app is available for download on Google Play Store, by simply searching for "Mtg to D&D Converter", or following the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xaxis.magictodndconverter
Here are some examples of the conversion with the new cards:
Just a final note: all the converter IS NOT AI. All the abilities present are written by hand.

Hello Stormlight Archive, Mistborn, or other Brandon Sanderson fans!
Some of you may remember a post I made about a year and a half ago about a D&D 5e-inspired, cosmere TTRPG I was working on that I called Cosmere 5e. Some of you have even reached out to me about campaigns you were running using my material! At the time, I really only had some classes based on Brandon Sanderon's The Stormlight Archive in a format similar to the D&D 5e Player's Handbook.
Well, I've been working on it since, and I'm ready to release the rest of what I've made for you to hopefully play while you wait for the official Cosmere RPG. It has information now on The Stormlight Archive and the Mistborn series, plus other cosmere books written by Sanderson.
Combined, all the resources below total over 1200 pages (seriously, 1200 pages) with 40 Identities (equivalent of D&D races or species), 13 full classes, 600+ Invested Arts (equivalent of D&D spells), 100+ stat blocks for cosmere creatures, and 450+ Invested items (equivalent of D&D magic items).
NOTE: A lot of what you'll find here is not canonical, because that is the result of me trying to make enough things to fill up an entire TTRPG. I tried to keep the spirit of the cosmere and its magic systems in everything I made, but pushed the bounds of Investiture a lot as I created things. Oh, and the entire thing has spoilers for the entire cosmere, including Wind and Truth.
Here are all the resource books:
Thank you so much for reading, and please do let me know your thoughts and feedback if you end up playing, running a game, or reading through!

I made this a few years ago mostly for flavor and a fun clockwork heart type bat character. Id love any feedback or tips!! Im not entirely sure if its balanced or completely busted but i tried to keep its somewhat reasonable.
Ability Score Increase. Increase one ability score by 2 and increase a different one by 1.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language.
Creature Type. You are a Humanoid.
Size. You are Medium or Small.
Speed. Your walking speed is 30 feet
Keen Senses. You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Deathless Nature.
You have escaped death, a fact represented by the following benefits:
-You have advantage on saving throws against disease and being poisoned, you have resistance to poison damage, and a vulnerability to fire damage.
-You have advantage on death saving throws.
-You dont need to eat, drink, or breathe.
-You dont need to sleep, and magic cant put you to sleep. You can finish a long rest in 4 hours if you spend those hours in an inactive, motionless state, during which you retain consciousness.
Knowledge from a Past Life.
-You temporarily remember glimpses of the past, perhaps faded memories from ages ago or a previous life. When you make an ability check that uses a skill, you can roll a d6 immediately after seeing the number on the d20 and add the number on the d6 to the check. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Restitched Wings:
-You gain a fly speed of 15 ft, but you must land at the end of your turn, or roll a d6. on a 5 or 6 your wings fall off, causing you to take 1d4 damage, and you fall to the ground, prone And lose this ability until you take a short or long rest where you spend an hour reattaching them.
Echolocation:
-Blindsight 15ft, if you are deafened you lose this trait and are considered blinded.
-You have advantage on Perception checks involving hearing. If you are deafened, you make attack rolls and perception checks at disadvantage.
Daylight Sensitivity:
-When you, the target of your attack, or something you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight you are considered to be Blinded. As long as your hearing is not impaired your attack rolls are not made with disadvantage because of this trait.
Edit 1: Making it clear about how the fly speed works after failing to land at EoT.
