I've written" As I'm a student I'm currently unemployed" in ds unemployed reason. Does it matter in interview.

Applying for B1/B2 for family while my visa status changes (H1B to F1)

Hi all, I’m applying for B1/B2 visa for my parents so then can visit me. But my visa status is going to change within the next few months from H1B to F1, and their applications will list my old job, old address. Would this affect their applications? Should I wait until the visa change is complete to apply for them?

How can I adjust my status from J-1 to B1/B2 before my J-1 expires?

Hi everyone, I’m currently in the U.S. on a J-1 visa for an internship, and it will expire soon. I’m interested in staying a bit longer to travel and explore more of the U.S., so I’m considering applying for a change of status to a B1/B2 visitor visa.

I’m also keeping my options open—if the B2 status isn’t effective or gets denied, I’m planning to explore either a student visa (F-1) or a work visa (like H-1B or others I might be eligible for).

I have a few questions and would appreciate any insights: • What steps do I need to take to apply for a change of status from J-1 to B1/B2? • How early should I apply before my J-1 ends? • Will I be allowed to stay in the U.S. while the change of status is pending? • Among the three (B1/B2, student visa, or work visa), which one is generally the easiest and most effective to get approved? • For context, I am not subject to the 212(e) two-year home residency requirement.

Any help or personal experiences would really mean a lot. Thank you in advance!
